They absolutely destroyed my husband’s back wheels while replacing the tires. We know for a fact it is not “wear and tear” as it’s a brand new car with brand new wheels and an EXTREMELY fresh powder coating. The first picture is what the two wheels they didn’t touch look like (perfect condition) and the rest are the back wheels they did touch completely full of chips, scraps, and cracked paint! If you value the wheels you put on your car do not let them touch them.

They gouged the wheels on one of our employee's vehicles, rounded the lug bolts off, and then blamed us for "over-torquing" the lug bolts.
The problem is, this vehicle is exclusively serviced by the owner who is a 18 year master technician. The lug bolts were in perfect condition previously, and were not over-torqued, they just didn't want to accept responsibility.
We brought one of our vehicles there for mount and balance of 2 rear tires. They have worked on this vehicle previously with no issues. This time around, they had someone with very little regard for people's vehicles, and were downright negligent, and then lied to cover up their screw up. We understand mistakes happen, but there was a complete refusal to accept responsibility for the stripped lug bolts, all the way to the top which was the store manager Edward Soto.
They also were not going to mention at ALL that they scratched/gouged the wheels until we inspected the vehicle at pickup. When speaking with one of the tire changers, they showed us the specific socket [pictured] that they used, and it was a shallow socket, that when attached to an impact gun, did not go into the wheel recess all the way. Because of this, they rounded off half of the lug stud. You'll notice on the pictures, the lug bolt damage is only on half of the contact surface, not the entire thing. The only way this happens is when you use an improper socket that doesn't engage the hex all the way. I brought this up to the store manager, and he told us that they don't have any deep-well 17mm sockets in their store, and that we would need to provide one if we wanted them to use it. This is complete unacceptable. They are supposed to be a professional tire shop, and to not have a commonly found deep well 17mm is a direct reflection in lack of training and proper tooling. They did offer to repair the wheels, and reimbursed us for our cost on the wheel repair. However, we did not receive a single apology for the mistake, inconvenience, or anything for that matter. Not a single acknowledgement of responsibility from anyone, including Edward the store manager. Edward's general demeanor felt like we were burdening him, even though they were the ones that screwed this up and put themselves in this position. Edward also sat there and continued to argue that it was our fault that the wheel lugs stripped because we over torqued them, which is a blatant lie and attempt to cover up what they did and not assume any liability. Even several days removed when we came in to get reimbursed, not a single apology for the inconvenience or the trouble, or anything for that matter.
We have somewhat of a long standing relationship with this store, as they are close by, but having had this experience, we will be firing Discount Tire moving forward, as it is very obvious the management structure will do anything to avoid taking responsibility for mishaps and negligent employees.
If you have a car that you care about, that's even remotely nice, don't go here unless you want it to get scratched and damaged, and then subsequently blamed for it. If you have a car that you don't care about, definitely bring it here.

I've been using discount tire since 1997. Lately, they've grown so much that wait times are also growing faster than the capacity of their bays. If you don't set an appointment, expect to wait about an hour minimum. They also acquired The Tire Rack so prices will continue to go up while the capacity to repair stays the same.

Had an appointment today to get tires rotated and rebalanced. Guy I spoke to didn’t really have the motivation to help in any type of way. He told me he couldn’t work on my back tires, and just stayed in silence the whole time just looking at the screen. Not a care in the world to actually figure out a solution to help. Not a hey sir let’s if we can figure out a warrant deal or we may not be able to work on your back tires but we can take care of the front. I kept it respectful, and said thanks man, only because I get all my tires here. I gave it 3 star because I’m sure not all employees are careless like this guy is.

2 Cars forward of mine to check and fill the tires. It took the guy 30 minutes. Of those square people what they ask you to the death date of your grandparents!
Lousy service.

I have been a loyal customer for years at this store. Buy tires for 2 cars there without fail. Also use the tire inflation station occasionally and never without tipping. Yesterday around 3:30 pm my wife told me she was going on road trip and needed gas and tires checked. I got to discount tire and unfortunately neither one of us had any tip money on us. I pulled up an a white guy in a tan safari hat promptly greeted me and I told him “ 32 all the way around”. He finished and I headed to gas station to complete my request. While the gas was pumping I thought I’d double check my tire valve caps to make sure they were tight. The first one I checked was barely a thread onto the stem. The next on was barely even on and I tightened it, the 3rd one the same way, so loose it was barely on and the 4th one I checked had already fallen off in the few blocks I’d driven from disc tire!! I filled up and headed back to disc tire, same guy and he went and got me a cap. It seemed to me that in just driving a couple of blocks all my caps were barely on the stem and one was already gone. Hardly acceptable and it dawned on me it was intentionally done! Could it have been because I didn’t have tip money?? My wife is headed out of town and all valve caps are going to fall off enroute. I find this very concerning, and wanted to bring it to your attention.

TERRIBLE customer service. My husband and I had a tire blow out at night on I30. We were close to home so we towed our car home and I brought the tire itself to this location the next morning to swap for a new one. The assistant manager looked at the tire and said TO MY FACE “wow you must have hit the curb pretty hard huh?” just because I am a woman. I know this isn’t a new concept in this industry but coming from a manager, I am definitely not bringing my business back to this discount tire.

I was able to set an appointment and the wait time was not bad at all. The problem that I had. I was there the week before was told k would need 2 new tires for the front and that they would put my new tires that I am purchasing on the back and move the ones from the back to the front and I said ok I will come back next Saturday. So today I came in they saw me right away and it did not take long for them to start on my car. About 30 minutes later they tell me they're done. I go out to my car the new tires were in the front he never rotated them like he said he would and also my tire light was still on. So when I went in I said hey you didn't rotate my tires like you said you said you would he takes me to this chart and tried to explain why then he says well you're going to need 2 new tires eventually anyway. Sir what? You didn't say any of this last week and the tires were in the same position. Then I ask him about my tire light he says oh he didn't tell you the sensor was broken and I said no why didn't y'all tell me that when the tire was being changed? I then asked how much it was he tells me 60 but he can give me a discount I told him no I will get it done another time. After driving about 30 minutes the light went off. I'm not saying he was lying but my light went off so I guess my sensor was not broken. I just felt I was handled deceitfully and it rubbed me the wrong way. I don't think I will go back to this location.

I came in for a nail patch about a month ago, it was done but my tire continued to leak air, came in again today because I was under the assumption the patch wasn’t done properly. Conveniently there’s now a “tiny hole” in the section of my tire that isn’t patchable. I don’t understand that because there’s nothing that I’ve hit to cause such a “ tiny hole” and the hole only appears AFTER I’ve came to this location. The customer service was good but that’s just too suspicious for me not to be upset about, I feel like it was either accidentally done by an employee or purposely to get me to buy a replacement tire.

When going here, even for emergency repairs or a basic nail in a tire double check before leaving!!! Came here waited an hour and a half and still have the same nail, same spot, and same leak when getting home (time stamped pic). Not sure what more I could've done but plugged it myself but just check other peoples work. Lesson learned, now at the Mansfield location getting it done right the first time.

Went here for a simple tire change and then all of the sudden my car wouldn’t start when they were done, not sure what happened, something about my battery, I had to leave and buy a whole new one, now I know if it died it should have been able to have been jumped but that didn’t even work. They were the last ones to touch my car. All in all, be careful coming here

If I could give 0 stars I would. They totally tried to cheat us over. We got our tire patched at the Viper Tires across the street.

They said they checked me in for my appointment, but then I got a message saying my appointment was canceled. I wasn't seen til an hour after the appointment time. They let my cat sit on the dock 10 minutes after it was lowered, even though I saw multiple cars moved immediately after they were lowered.
