Left with a bad taste….
First off, the 3 guys are good at what they do.
I was moving my mom from a small apartments. There were about 20 boxes, a couch, a chair, night stand, shelf, dresser and desk.
They arrived at 2:10. Ten minutes late which was not a big deal. They packed everything into the 15 foot Uhaul I rented. The truck was mayyybe a little over half full when done. They finished at 3:15.
Before I got the bill I tipped them $20 each. When I got the bill, I wish I had not tipped them. It was $275. They were charging me $120 an hour. They had written down showing up at 2:00 and going to 3:15. The charge for a full hour even if it isn’t a full hour. That is fair. However, in truth they maybe went over 5 minutes. And $120 x 2 is $240 not $275. So it was like black magic time keeping and math.
It felt like an on purpose kind of thing. I mean you can walk slow enough to extend the time out. The guys were cool enough but at the end of experience it just felt shitty. People move for lots of reasons, the reason I was moving my mom had me processing a lot of emotions.
I try to live by the motto of leaving a situation and the people involved in a better place. I’m not one for writing reviews but I woke up this morning and I just had to get this out.

Used them for my mother's move from the DFW area to Central Texas, and we had a great experience. Everything went very smoothly, and both the packing and moving crews were friendly, professional, and did good work. We've had other family use them and recommend them, and the recommendation was very accurate. Excellent overall.

TLDR: If you need movers that get ALL of your stuff from point A to point B, keep looking.
We hired this company for a full service move based on reviews & expected a good experience but walked away very disappointed.
The movers came on time & were polite. They worked hard but failed to do a complete job. We moved to a new house 20 minutes away from our old one. We requested help packing, moving, & unloading which they agreed they could do. The reason we requested help packing is because I am 8 months pregnant. When my husband did the initial walkthrough with them, he showed them everything & provided boxes & packing paper. We packed boxes with them in the morning then had to leave to close on the new house & set up internet. We confirmed previously that we were not required to be physically present for the entire day and they were aware of our appointments. When we got back, we noticed we were low on boxes so we asked if we needed to go pick up more but they said no, they were done, they would take a lunch, then meet at the new house to unload.
We noticed then that they had failed to pack and load the bottom half of the kitchen, two rugs, all of the curtains (which they specifically asked about & we confirmed they should go), some decor, and the closet (half of which was already in boxes), as well as other odds & ends.
It was already 2pm at this point, and they are paid hourly so we decided not to contest this since we didn’t know how long it would take them to unload. My husband had to stay behind at the old house to keep packing it and give it a quick clean since there was a showing scheduled that afternoon. I went to the new house to direct unloading. Overall, they did fine with the things they decided to pack, nothing was broken & they were nice enough.
Today, my husband took an extra day off of work and spent its entirety packing, loading, & unloading the rest of the house alone, as I am physically unable to assist him while caring for our 2yo. What they left behind came out to 33 boxes total including the pantry (some small appliances), clothes, shoes, hangers, kitchen stuff, decor, all of the pictures, curtains, & bathroom rugs. Our friends & family weren’t available last minute on a weekday, so Husband made it through on Tylenol & determination.
We paid close to $2500 for them to basically just move the big stuff & had to finish the job ourselves with no support.

We were given the number for H & E Movers with a high recommendation. They did not disappoint!!! It was such a pleasant experience. The scheduling of the move…with a confirmation call..to the guys showing up on time…and doing a fantastic move with my in-laws “treasures”. I would recommend H & E movers to anyone?

Absolutely perfect move! The guys were nice, friendly and very careful with my furniture. Not a single piece broken, no scratches on walls or anything. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

I have used them a few times! I used them to move me into my house years go, I’ve called them to hang things and place things. My experience has been excellent. They have been professionally and quick. They paid attention to details in making sure they don’t damage my home and/or furniture.

Moving is never fun, but H&E Movers made this day so much better. They worked hard, and came in much less than we had budgeted for. They communicated well and made sure everything we wanted moved was done.

I'm SO thrilled. Super efficient. Super careful. They took such good care of me. This move was the easiest, least expensive and most positive one I HAVE ever had! I'm BEYOND grateful! They, unlike many other moving companies, charge strictly by the hour with no minimum. They didn’t charge for gas. They didn’t add any hidden fees. And the 3 man crew was friendly, helpful, cooperative and EXTREMELY professional. I will NEVER use anyone else!
