I needed a tool from tool world. And after 35 minutes of waiting, I decided to leave found a similar tool at floor and decor. For less. Getting help at this location is the main problem.

Why Lowe's Tops Home Depot for Professional Contractors: A Detailed Review**As a professional contractor, I've spent countless hours in both Lowe's and Home Depot, sourcing materials for a variety of projects. While both stores have their merits, I've come to prefer Lowe's, especially for professional-level needs. Here's my comprehensive review explaining why.### Product Quality and Selection**Superior Quality for Professional Standards**: Lowe's consistently offers high-quality materials that meet the rigorous demands of professional projects. Whether it's lumber, tools, or fixtures, the quality at Lowe's often surpasses what I've found at Home Depot, contributing to better end results for my clients.**Diverse and Specialized Inventory**: Lowe's tends to have a more diverse selection, especially when it comes to specialized tools and materials. This variety is crucial for contractors who need specific items for complex projects.### Store Layout and Shopping Experience**Easier Navigation and Organization**: Lowe's store layout is more intuitive and easier to navigate. This is particularly important when I'm in a rush to find items. The clear organization saves me time, which is crucial in my line of work.**Professional-Grade Tool Section**: The tool section at Lowe's is notably superior, with a wider range of professional-grade tools. This is a big draw for contractors who require reliable and high-performance tools.### Pricing and Discounts**Competitive Pricing for Bulk Purchases**: Lowe's pricing structure is more favorable for bulk purchases, a common requirement for professional contractors. Their discounts on large orders make a significant difference in overall project costs.**Exclusive Pro Offers**: Lowe's also offers a "Lowe's for Pros" program, which provides additional discounts and benefits tailored for professional customers. This program has proven to be financially beneficial for my business.### Customer Service**Knowledgeable Staff**: The staff at Lowe's are generally more knowledgeable about professional-grade products and construction techniques. This expertise is invaluable when seeking advice on the best materials for a particular project.**Pro Services Desk**: Lowe's has a dedicated Pro Services desk, which caters specifically to professional contractors. The specialized attention and services available at this desk, like expedited ordering and delivery options, enhance the overall shopping experience.### Online Experience and Services**User-Friendly Online Platform**: Lowe's has a more user-friendly online platform, with a better interface for browsing products and placing orders. This is crucial for time-efficient project planning and sourcing.**Reliable Delivery Services**: Lowe's delivery services are more reliable and tailored to the needs of professionals. Their ability to deliver large orders promptly and accurately helps in maintaining project timelines.### ConclusionIn my professional experience, Lowe's stands out as the better choice for contractors, offering superior product quality, a more contractor-friendly store layout, competitive pricing for bulk purchases, knowledgeable staff, and excellent pro services. While Home Depot is a strong contender in the DIY market, Lowe's has positioned itself more effectively for professional contractors seeking quality, variety, and efficiency.

They were not helpful in the appliance department. Felt like I was at a used car lot. Ended up buying at a local store.

Buckle up, this is a long one.I went to this store with the intention of buying a case of laminate and seeing how it looked in my house. While it stated this particular laminate was in stock in store, that was not the case. No biggie, I’ll order it in store, then. And guess what? Free installation is being offered! Why not, I say. I get told 7 business days for delivery to store, that’s A-Okay by me. I get my paperwork and realize I have no order number or proof of the purchase. I call a week later to find my order status and some girl answered the phone, asked if I was Julie, I explained TWICE that no, I was not Julie, to which she responds by transferring me to Milan- who has not yet arrived for their shift, thus leaving me on hold for almost an hour. We drive up to the store, catch some snark about how busy they are (1 other guy in line with a steam cleaner to turn in) but I explained it’s not that you are busy, it’s that I was transferred to nowhere when all I had was a quick question.Manager comes, he had no resolution or explanation for where my order is, just stands there dumbstruck. They offered $5 off as a sorry. Still no order number provided to me. I’m not a confrontational person so I left and hoped my order would just turn up when it got fulfilled.4 days later- someone calls to say my order is ready. Still no order number so I call when o get there and explain I’m outside and have this order under my name. They take 30 minutes to find it and call me to tell me it’s ready again. I said great! I’m outside in pick up spot 1. Her response- “oh you want us to bring it out to you?” I’m just so thrilled it’s over with and out of Lowe’s customer service custody that I let it go and drive off into the sunset with my flooring. But no, the absolute train-wreck continues…John from Lowe’s calls me to tell me the free installation that includes uninstall of prior flooring is no longer in effect. The contractor they use doesn’t know how to remove carpet so I need to do that part. I was flabbergasted, it’s carpet. How does a flooring installer not know how to remove carpet? I ask him to call them back because that just sounds outlandish. John gets back to me and says, “I called them, they told me they don’t care and are sticking to their original answer.” Wow. I get a second call from a woman who states they also want to charge me over $800 to repair water damage and I can’t use the flooring that was chosen, gotta pick out something else. First, there’s no water damage, if there were, they’d have had to rip up the carpet to see that and they don’t know how to do that apparently, lol. I just had the house inspected. Also, if they can’t uninstall carpet, how on earth do they know how to repair water damage? And how on earth is it 800 for a 100 sq ft area in a pier and beam home? I’m handy so I priced replacing the sub floor in this small room and definitely not 800 bucks including labor. Also, if you can’t rip up carpet, how on earth should I expect you to be able to install laminate? I have almost no faith they could do even use a screwdriver at this point. This was just the most preposterously wasteful and frustrating experience. Everyone has lost their minds. I will still buy products here (it’s not the manufacturers fault these people are nuts) but I wouldn’t dream of using one of their services. And don’t order anything in store, just order online folks. It’s safer that way. I work in customer service and this was just bonkers how terrible of an experience this was.

I bought a kitchen faucet with a lifetime warranty from Lowe's in June 2021. At the time the faucet was on sale. That faucet's internal hose broke through no fault of my own 2 days ago. So I reached out to the manufacturer and they said that Lowe's would have to handle it because they didn't have the parts. So I reached out to Lowe's customer service and they said no problem, take the original item and your reciept to your local Lowe's and they will be able to exchange the faucet or refund it (if the faucet is no longer available). So I went to Lowe's to exchange it for the same faucet that I bought in 2021. They had it in stock, so no issue there. The problem came up when they tried to charge me an additional $108 because the faucet wasn't on sale anymore. This makes zero sense - I'm not asking for money or an upgraded faucet. All I want is a faucet that is functional because the one that I bought from them broke. Jacob, the assistant manager, and the lady who was helping with customer service were both dismissive and unhelpful and just kept telling me that they could only refund the item for what I paid for it and I'd have to pay the difference to get the exact same faucet. I ended up paying the difference, but their unwillingness to be reasonable and recognize that I was just asking to be made whole for their product's error made the whole experience very frustrating. It's not logical or reasonable and I was disappointed with how they treated me as a customer.Update 10/20: I called the info below and they gave me a $25 gift card. I'm still not happy with the result or how Lowe's handled things, but wanted to be fair about sharing the whole story.

I will NEVER visit a Lowe's store again. I'm a contractor that had a Lowe's credit card for years and they took it upon themselves to cancel my card due to a car dealership seeking loans and interest rates for a new truck. They claimed too many credit inquiries so they stop my credit card (while I was at a register) !!! I was NOT informed about this issue. I'm a US Veteran and this activity by a big box store is beyond belief. All due respect but Lowes sucks and I'll never return. Be cautious out there !!!
