Have shopped here infrequently over the prior 15 years. Each time the experienced sales people helped me with sizing , asked questions, and then provided advice on purchases of slcks, jackets, coats, and ties.The place is tops!

I was gifted a pair of these boots over 10yrs ago. I am an artist and I wear them for work quite a lot. They endure a ton of abuse, they have paint splattered all over them, and I still get compliments on them. They are a bit pricey so when these eventually give out I will be heart broken because I currently am not in a position to buy another pair, but if you are not a broke artist like me, they are most definitely worth it!

Wonderful experience at M.L. Leddy’s. Everyone knew their craft perfectly. If they were working behind the counter of whatever department they were in… they knew what they were talking about. I bought an ostrich belt and couldn’t have been more happy with my purchase. It was a wonderful buying experience.

Leddy's, while a supplier of self-proclaimed "high-end Western retail," has in reality become primarily a tourist attraction located at the corner of the Fort Worth Stockyards. My partner and I have had positive experiences in the past with sales reps in the front-room section for boots, where the staff has tended to be both willing and able to assist - with equal patience, hospitality, and knowledgeable advice - both their seasoned and more decisive customers, as well as wandering patrons who are just taking a look inside and seeking the Leddy's experience. The in-store experience is, inarguably, one of the greatest selling points for any well-branded and long-standing store such as this one. Their reputation is supposed to precede them, as is the level of customer satisfaction and treatment. Located as it is on the corner of the most prominent tourist center of Fort Worth, the store of course receives a large influx of tourists that come and go through the door without purchasing a single item; in fact, the main goal is simply to take a look at what Leddy's has to offer, interact with the staff, and walk away with two complimentary perks: more knowledge about their products, and a tasteful experience to recommend to others.In this reality, what more does an establishment like Leddy's have left to offer when the customer experience falls short of acceptable?I would not expect to be treated as if I am not a serious customer by any retailer in America, whether they be big or small, luxurious or plain. As a potential patron entering your business's storefront, I expect the minimum and baseline amount of respect that is due to any given person; this is not what I was awarded when entering the cowboy hats section of Leddy's with my visiting friend, who is not local to the area. We tried some hats on in front of a mirror in the fitting rooms area of the store, and snapped a photo of our reflections to store as a memory. Loudly and without pleasantries, an old man standing amid a gaggle of older sales reps asked us - clearly not intending to help with, educate about, or sell us on any Leddy's products in a respectful or tasteful manner - "if he could help us." We turned around and informed him that we were just looking. He proceeded to loudly ridicule us for taking photos and that the store is not meant for that. While this statement is fair on its own, the man's irritable tone and method of delivery were unacceptable for any store staff to inflict upon a patron - regardless of whether they have decided to purchase an item, or not.Following up on this, another older woman from the group of these inert salespeople - all of whom had really just been chatting idly around the older man at his table, rather than doing any sales or hospitality work within the store- then chose to speak up, in her infinite wisdom, and knock into us that Leddy's was "high-end retail;" i. e., strongly implying it was not meant for people like us. Her tone was simply arrogant, spoiled, and condescending - all things which I would never expect from any retail store in any corner of the world, and far less in the South, of all places. The point of this review is not complicated: if you want people to keep coming back for a good experience, don't treat your customers like dirt on the bottom of your boot.Store dwellers who are taking a look at your products - and harming no one in the process - are equally as beneficial to your business and maintaining a marketable reputation as are customers who have made a purchase and expressed satisfaction over it. Whether they are window shopping or more serious shoppers, all customers are deserving of respect. Although it was never called into question whether I would ever seriously consider purchasing a product from Leddy's - and it had really been, at one point, a serious consideration - after this experience, I can guarantee for certain that it will never happen.

I had never been interested in Western wear despite growing up on a cattle ranch. My dad convinced me to get my first cowboy hat recently though. I asked around and everyone recommended Leddy's in FW. I can't say enough good things about their staff and products. The hat I got was one of the finest made things I've ever worn. These cowboys know what they are doing!

John in Custom Mens Wear is absolutely fantastic! I came in for a blazer needing some alterations. It was completed as promised and since I was leaving out of town for the holidays he overnighted it to me. Received in great condition and love the jacket!! Jimmy sue treated me and my sweet grandmother like family under 30 minutes. She is such a sweetheart. She is fabulous at her job. I wish everyone could work as hard as her. I am definitely coming back to Leddys and asking for jimmy!
