“Good neighborhood grocery with meat market and deli. However, the food at the deli is not near as good before the new owners took it over. Roy Pope had the best fried chicken, I wish they still did.”

“Man, the food is great. Barbacoa and carnitas are greatness. The menudo was good, but I like hominy in mine. I wish the tables were cleaned more often, and knowing where to pay can be a bit confusing for a first time visitor. You look at the food you want to order, the you have to go to the checkout register to pay, and then comeback with the receipt. This is a mercado and restaurant.”

“Easy Delivery. Super fast to unload. Parking is a little tricky tho. The docks are slightly angled to the street so its a little deceiving. Other then that I was in and out in about 30 Minutes.”

“This place has great customer service and they also educate the customer about their farms, and how the cattle are raised. The meat tastes way better than grocery store meat, and their duck eggs are rich in taste.”

“If you haven’t had the sandwiches in the cafe, you’re missing out. They are SO delicious! My favorite is the Turkey Classic but no matter which one, they’re always good. Also, their Hickory Honey Mustard is so good that we bought a bottle for home.”

“4 stars because I have not tried it yet, but I got a feeling this place will be SUPER busy soon because this guy on TikTok started speaking in tongue talking about the sandwiches”

“The store was nice and clean, but workers are not very customer service oriented. They don't smile, welcome you, or say " Have a good____!" Inflation has really taken a toll because this store (well, Dallas location) was fairly reasonable compared to this one.”

“I strolled into Carniceria El Paya one Saturday night, just an hour before closing, and let me tell you, the joint was buzzin' like a beehive at a honey convention. This place is as snug as a bug in a rug - small and cozy, like your favorite grandma's living room.I waltzed in with a hankering for some uncooked seasoned Tablita. I mean, I heard the buzz, and I had to see what the fuss was about. Took that bad boy home, fired up the grill, and let me tell you, it was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. It was so good, I'm pretty sure it made my taste buds do a happy dance. You better believe I'll be back to try out more cuts of meat. Carniceria El Paya, you had me at Tablita.”

“I honestly love this little shop, I love the feel of a little piece of back home. They have good quality meat, veggies, and peppers. You got your laundry detergents, hair, and body wash. Small variety of candy to fill their piñatas. The music is always playing, which I like. The only thing I would probably complain about is the inconsistency with their tamales. It's a hit or miss. They are either too dry, dough not thoroughly cooked all the way, and at times flavorless. I'm not sure if people take turns making it, or just bad batches.”

“RABBIT !!! I hate to give away a secret, but if you love to cook German food.... especially Hasenpfeffer or rabbit stew... they carry it. Aisle 7, bottom shelf, buried in with game hens. They are pricey little critters... from $35 to $45 each, but that is market value these days.”

“Really good food. Just avoid the pink lemonade. Entirely way too sweet. I was able to take a large cup of their pink lemonade home & make a gallon of pink lemonade. Maybe that's their intention... idk? Aside from that; everything else I've had has been excellent. ??”
