Very few plugs to plug in electronics, so bring fully charged items. The shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while and some of the furniture was badly stained. Door to the main check-in was not operational. Overall, it felt like the whole place was falling into disrepair.

A day before checking out of the Navy Lodge at NAS Ft. Worth, I entered the lobby for breakfast. No other paying guests were present. Upon entering the lobby, I witnessed manager Anthony William who also manages the Navy Gateway Inn aboard NAS Ft. Worth. He appeared to be flirting with filipina employees. This unprofessional behavior of him immediately ended when Mr. William saw me. The next day, I finally checked out of Navy Lodge at NAS Ft. Worth. Upon doing so, supervisor Venessa Sifuentes was solely working the front desk. It was apparent she read my previous review. Instead of her previous unpleasantness and rudeness, Ms. Sifuentes was apologetic on behalf of manager Anthony William who never personally contacted me throughout my stay. She also admitted to their error regarding my negative experience upon initially arriving on Day 1. The only issue I had with her appology was that it didn't appear sincere. It fealt more like she had been reprimanded based on the negative posting of my last review. I reminded her about the ADA violation of the Navy Gateway Inn which did not have an ADA compliance elevator to accommodate paying guests with disability issues to the 2nd and 3rd floor. Those with disability impairments should never be forced to use stairs. Continuing, Ms. Sifuentes offered a $50 credit on my stay. I responded by saying Mr. William is the manager who should have personally spoke with me regarding this issues; especially that I requested from the beginning to speak with him. Instead of leading by example or personally confronting his guests, Mr. William passed off his responsibility to subordinates. I suppose Mr. Willian priorities with managing the Navy Lodge is by flirting with his female employees. Two days after checking out, I still never received a personal response from Mr. William. In conclusion, this matter would have been closed my me if Mr. William had personally made the apology. Instead, I am now debating whether or not to seek legal remedies regarding ADA violations at the Gateway Inn. This matter definitely needs to be addressed and fixed for all persons with disability issues; especially to veterans who faithfully served their country.
Continuation: Although my initial arrival was not pleasant, I did enjoy the accommodation at the Navy Lodge. The non-management employees also displayed professionalism. Based on this positive experience and further consideration, I have decided not to seek legal remedies for the ADA violations at the Navy Gateway Inn. Although ADA violations do exist, I am not going to make a decision based on the action or non-action of one person. Instead, I will allow higher management to fix their discrepancies with lower management and ADA violation issues. Hopefully I will have a better experience during my next visit aboard NAS Fort Worth.
Note: My initial comments regarding my arrival experience to the Navy Gateway Inn and the Navy Lodge aboard NAS Ft. Worth was posted on the review section located on the Navy Lodge NAS Ft. Worth website.

Booked a room here last minute and was not disappointed. Room was very clean and spacious. Front desk hospitality went above and beyond to help me.

No breakfast. Tiny shower that wants to shoot water outside the curtain. Peeling walls and ceilings. Internet works half the time, cannot get dark at night due to light coming through the sides of horrible window curtains. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Navy Lodge further in the base. Much, much, better there.

Although I did not stay at NGIS FW this time, Patrick was very helpful in resolving my issues with booking a room.

The hotel is super out dated no elevator at all, had found hairs on my bedding and stool stains in the toilet when arriving, I’ve been stationed on several ships and I they were cleaner than here!!! Even after taking a shower still felt disgusting. (Wear shoes while in the room
or get shower shoes)

Good for a night's sleep and if your business is on base (TDY). The wife and myself stayed here during the solar eclipse and it was fine as we did not feel paying $250/night on outside hotel was justifiable.
I'll start with the good.
Front desk staff were all customer focused and would rate them 5 stars. All of my interactions were exemplary, pre-arrival and during our stay. We even got extended by a day as we wanted to explore Dallas/Fort Worth and not just do the eclipse.
Can't beat the price. No extra charges like sales tax, parking fees, and any local fees. We got a spacious suite with a full bedroom, separate living room with a sofa/bed and a recliner. Location is good main gate is a mere 5 minute walk, minimart was also 5 minute further down. AAFES and commissary were about 10 minutes. Rooms were outfitted with A/C on both bedroom and living room. There was a microwave, mini fridge, demudifier, keurig, 2 medium sized flat screen TVs, WIFI, and (yes) daily housekeeping.
For the the bad. This being a reserve base funding is probably tight. Then there is this 'joint' thing which probably complicates budget support even more as which service should provide funding. Facility maintenance is not a priority. Bedroom window will not stay up in open position. Furnishings were functional but old and scratched up. Water from both sinks barely squirt out and seemed like the screen/filters were clogged and should be replaced. There was a brown out that affected NGIS and half of the base...lasted for a few hours.
Besides the convenience of being on base, there was nothing nearby outside the gate in terms of outside business, restaurants, shops, etc. Even AAFES food court has only one remaining food outlet. A car is needed and we rented from Turo as the solar eclipse jacked up prices of traditional rent a car to $200/day.
If saving $$$ and proximity to base are important, NGIS will be perfect. But if you are looking for a traditional budget travel hotel like a Hampton Inn, this is not for your.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!
Horrible experience, Entire building was freezing (59 degrees at night). The gateway definitely takes advantage of the fact that people are forced to stay here because of DTS. When I called the front desk to ask to turn up the heat the front desk laughed and said they could not do anything. For 95 dollars a night you can definitely find a much better room off base. The only time i would recommend someone staying here is if i did not like the person.

Had a emergency, they accommodated me in short notice and the service was great. No dining facilities on base, but I was very satisfied. Highly recommended.

This location is a bit of an odd duck. The building is clearly an older military barracks block, with two rooms that share a single toilet and small shower, turned into suites. I was staying for two nights on a business trip, and found myself arriving late, and being able to bump a no show.

Old barracks turned into a hotel. For the price I would rather stay in a regular hotel. Need the front desk number updated on Google. Also the directions take to a closed gate.Overall bad experience of the base. No shopette and exchange closed at 1800.

This site has nice ample space rooms. Located near the exchange and commissary. Super quiet rooms.
