I'm actually Jennifer Doak, Slicker is my maiden name. I actually love going to the YMCA and when I was back in Tennessee, I never had an issue with the child Care. It was nice feeling that I was able to drop off both my kids, a three year old and my 11 months old. I was never entruped or taken out of my class because I had to change my baby's diaper or change my three olds pants because he wet himself. They took care of my kids and my kids were always happy when I picked them up. This location is not the same feeling. I was pulled out of my class because my son went his pants and they needed me to give him new change of pants and my daughter was walking around with a wet diaper the whole time and developed a rash. All because they don't want to do it.As much as I enjoy my Zumba class, I decided to stay at the Benbrook location because I don't feel comfortable leaving my kids with the this location. My kids safety and well-being come first and I will never leave my kids where I don't have confidence with the facility.

Do not recommend for swim lessons. Earlier this summer I paid for and scheduled private swim lessons for my daughter at the downtown ymca location. The first day we arrived a little early because we had no prior communication/instructions on what to do, where to go, or who to speak to. Upon arriving, a lifeguard informed me that there was no instructor to teach the evening classes as they were having issues with scheduling. From there I rescheduled her to the northwest location and proceeded with her lessons there. The northwest location was very unorganized and gave my daughter 3 different instructors who taught her all the same thing with no advancement even though I could see she was doing extremely well. They never gave me feedback or spoke to me about her progress after her lessons, they would just walk away. During her last lesson we spoke to someone at the front desk and they informed us that what we experienced was wrong and they did not follow their guidelines. I was given an email address for Samantha Ridge and a gentleman J. Inguanzo. I emailed both parties multiple times as well as made phone calls to Samantha. I never received back any communication from either manager. Every time I would call I was told she was in her office yet she was not answering or returning my calls. I also left messages. More emails begging for help and/or a response. My daughter has absolutely no idea how unprofessional and unorganized the ymca has been, and she truly enjoyed her lessons. Because of this we chose to give it another try and scheduled her for lessons this week and next week. I decided to call beforehand this morning and not to my surprise, she didn’t answer. I had to call back and demand to speak with a manager after expressing that it was important I speak to ANYONE that could help me. She informed me that their evening instructor told them yesterday, they could no longer teach evenings. Had I not called, I would have WASTED MY TIME AND MONEY YET AGAIN because they do not know how to communicate. I can genuinely say after my interaction with Samantha, she does not care. I told her I have been calling and emailing for weeks and she had nothing to say. I’ve been in customer service for over 10 years and the way I, a paying and patient customer have been treated is absolutely despicable. This woman should not be a manager and the YMCA should not be offering private swim lessons if they cannot efficiently provide services. We have WASTED our money and will never be returning or recommending the YMCA. Horrible experience!!!

I took the Pilates group class with Charity and it was amazing! I loved the instructor and the way she taught. The environment was very accepting and no matter what level you are it was easy to follow. The reason for the 4 stars was because I took the Zumba class and I did not like it. So it depends on what you are looking for!

My only complaint is that I do not believe that children under 15 should be in senior classes. They jump around and get in the way and instead of concentrating on what you are doing, you have to watch them to make sure you don't fall over them. It does not make for a safe experience.

Pool schedule is a joke.... during the week open to regular swimmers for only 2-3 hours mon-thurs... I used to be a lifeguard at the ymca and we would never have had such a limited time.

My experience with location is unorganized, very poor communication on lessons time. A lot of cancelation ( alot of different reasons) with last second notice, very poor management !!.

This Y is great. I've been coming here for the last 3 years in order to smash my goals. Staff is friendly, people are part of the community, and they're programs always support community members and the youth. I always enjoy walking into the gym and grabbing a freshly made coffee before smashing 400 pound bench presses. I'll come to this gym for years to come.

I love the group exercise classes. I attend the yoga classes 2x a week. The instructors are excellent and personal. They have personalized the exercises to fit my needs as a pregnant lady. Also, the YMCA membership price is very reasonable, especially considering you can use all the locations in the metroplex.

Excellent! Clean. Staff is both knowledgeable and personal. Greeters at the front desk are exceptional. I don't know her name, but the woman w/ glasses who works the weekday afternoon shift on the front desk (until approx 3:30pm) is great! She is a definite asset to this location. Friendly, always smiling, helpful, knowledgeable, and never forgets your name!

Great location, plenty of equipment for a small gym.
