Walked in and walked out since no one cared to ask if I needed help. 3 different associates just walked by and never said a word.

My customer service experience was the best I have ever experienced in my life. Tristan was my first helper, and tried on about 7 different shoes with him and decided to check out another store. (That ended horribly) so we came back. Derek was then helping me and I tried on some more shoes and ended up with some hiking boots and some everyday walking shoes that are beyond comfortable and honestly life changing. Getting shoes was an awesome experience. Then when I was checking out, Wyatt was phenomenal in helping us and all the questions we had. Everyone was so patient, kind and just overall friendly.

I have shopped at REI for decades. So happy it came to Fort Worth. We moved from SLC where we enjoyed it for years then missed it when we came to Fort Worth.

To be clear...My review is not of this store. My only experience there was fine. It is with ordering through REI. A company long known for great service has me cussing at a virtual assistant. They use OnTrac, which is garbage. My package is late, status hasn't been updated in 24 hours and it is impossible to talk to a human at either REI or OnTrac. I will never again order online form REI or any company that uses OnTrac.

I shopped here for years. I’ve purchased well over $7k worth of stuff from this location and today I was pretty upset by my exchange. I called to check to see if the shoes I purchased in 2023 and currently love were in stock. They’re a specific wide model that fits my hobbit foot really well, and as a result I knew there was a chance they were going to need to order it.
Their rep told me, “we’re sold out” but the southlake store has them. Cool, I don’t live in southlake. She told me I can order them online, I don’t make online purchases of clothing, it never works out and I’m too busy to ship the shoes back if they don’t fit. Apparently “sold out”= discontinued product.
I asked for a solution where they acquire the shoes in store for me to cone purchase and no option was afforded to me. As a long time customer, I was very turned off by this persons inability to offer me a solution where I can purchase these $300 shoes in store.
I’ll be going to Mountain Sports in Arlington, they offered to help me. Maybe REI can find a new customer online or they can recruit folks from southlake.
……or get my shoes in store from southlake and I’ll take this review down.

Came here looking for camping supplies but the tent selection kind of sucks. Cabelas has been disappointing as of late and I remembered REI used to have an awesome selection of stuff but not this location. Pretty disappointed.

Rei , usually is consistent across the board however I am a bit disappointed on how little of selection this store has. For such a big store they sure don’t have much in way of camping, water containers, replacement lids and much more. Had no issues with staff , everyone I encountered was nice. Maybe if the inside gets revamped and more products placed maybe it will be less empty

Top Tier service!!
Shout out to Manager David! My trail shoes fell apart days before my race weekend and he sat with me trying multiple pairs of shoes to make sure I was good for my races! Ended up going with the Topos and they were amazing!

REI has the WORST staff besides Starbucks. Fort Worth should be ashamed. I was browsing and a lady employee seemed to be walking around store (like a wannabe manager). She looked at me on several occasions and made eye contact with me, YET NEVER spoke or asked if I needed help. She just leered at me. REI is a disgrace. Bad leadership filters to employees.

I took my road bike to REI bike shop, Jakob, Jon and the rest of team, took it like a personal challenge to get my bike in perfect condition. They troubleshoot the ghost shift issue until the found the culprit. They use the original parts, not an off brand part they have laying around. I understand that was not an easy task. If you need to take your bike to service, REI Ft Worth is the place to go. Thank you REI
