Don’t trust them. You will regret it. They always drag their feet on refills. It’s always a struggle to get my anti rejection medication. Finding someone else to fill my prescriptions.

On Oct 27th, 2023 after 6 days and 5 nights in the hospital my son was released to go home. He survived a near fatal car accident and is on several medications. The Doctor wanted to have me pick up the medication from the walgreens pharmacy in the hospital (Harris downtown). I agreed and went to pick them up. I arrived and was waiting 5-6 minutes while the pharmacy tech help an elderly couple. Then and young girl waved me over and said she could help me at the second window. I gave her my sons information. She looked and said that this was going to be expensive because I didn't have insurance. I asked how expensive? She said over 850 dollars. I told her that my usual pharmacy would always give me discount with goodrx or discount codes and if she would help and do the same. She looked me in the face and said" I could do that but, you have to many scripts and she would not do it for me!" I said really! She said yeah you have to many scripts and she would not give me any discounts! I told her I would move all the scripts to my pharmacy. She said OK. We moved all the scripts to the Kroger pharmacy near my house. They asked why I had to move them? I explained what happened all they could do was apologize. They took the 4 or 5 minutes to apply the discounts and the total was 53 dollars. I only hope that that young girl does not have to deal with the situation I had to deal with and then have to deal with someone like her. Thank you Kroger for stepping up and helping out!

I've been refilling Nuzyra from this pharmacy since September 2019. My original prescription was for 30 days of meds which would have been a $50 copay. Despite the script being written for 30 days, I was initially receiving 6 days, then 8 days, and after practically pulling teeth at the pharmacy, finally, 12 days at a time for the same copay of $50. Now, you may not be aware, but paying $50 every 8-12 days for meds can add up pretty quickly! In addition to previously calling Walgreens customer service, and multiple pleas with the pharmacy to figure out what was wrong with this prescription and why it couldn't be filled as it was prescribed, I received little to no help regarding this issue and went from September up to this week paying a ridiculous amount (2-3x more than what I should've been paying) for this medicine. After doing research online and talking with a few pharmacist friends, as well as the pharmacist at my clinic, I was advised to tell Walgreens to run the new NDC code in order to receive 60 pills/30 days as originally prescribed. Now that this has been approved, I will be paying $50 for 30 days of meds, again, as originally prescribed. Despite being annoying and calling Walgreens customer service and practically arguing with Walgreens staff each time I called every 8-12 days to refill this medicine, they were ultimately unable to help me causing me to spend an exorbitant amount of money for something when the solution was there all along. I'd like to receive records of the correspondence with Walgreens staff (I've spoken to several people regarding this issue since I was first prescribed this medication in September). This is completely ridiculous and the fact that I had to figure out the new NDC code on my own is crazy! Why couldn't pharmacy staff figure out how to ensure my prescription was given in full? Why did it take 6 months and the unnecessary cost of $50 every 8 days when it should have been $50 every 30 days?

It's a small pharmacy, mostly just for filling prescriptions, but they have a small selection of snacks and drugstore items that have helped me out in a pinch. Decent service and the staff is nice.

The people who work in the pharmacy lack communication skills. They are usually overwhelmed and understaffed.
