It's usually okay but today I felt really rushed so didn't check some items closely so I didn't take the time to look at the frozen ground turkey it was over a month old and had bad freezer burn. The lady also told me they might be getting rid of dog food at their new location, this is not good for people and their pets who really need it right now when things are so expensive. Also they have been out of everything we were even there earlier than usual and still not much left and we shopped at 9:45 a.m.

Great pantry, if you are homeless you get a sack lunch, if you have a house or an apartment you get to shop their grocery store with a volunteer who assists you in filling your box with things you want. You can say no thanks to items you won't eat. In this way they don't waste food. And the great thing about it is I can shop their store twice a month, which makes up for the two weeks of the month I don't have any more food stamps. So it works out. Always bring your ID and proof of address or a lease agreement if you want to get a big box, otherwise you will get a sack lunch.

Great food bank very helpful people. They moved to bigger location same mall just down a bit. Now you shop for food like before. Can come 2 times a month. Great local camp Bowie Blvd food bank. Very nice volunteers.

They are Sooooo very very sweet. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't know what to do. Food prices have gone up So very very high especially the meat!!!! And trying to feed 3 people on a fixed income it's terrible. But Thank God for Westaid I am able to Survive. May God Bless you lovely Angels ???????

I love this food bank. It's convenient for me. And they give out good stuff. Just be respectful to the volunteers and they will do the same.

I was really impressed with how each was so polite and professional. I had to stand in line for over 45 mins but it when fastThey give you the basic like bread and eggs , they distribute a great variety of choices, even meat. Last week I got a pork loin roast and a whole chicken.They even gave out bags of blueberry's, walnuts, almonds.Seriously, lf you find yourself needing help with groceries, go to West Aide.They service by zip codes, so call before you go so you can see if your zip code is on the list.

Thank you so much! Super friendly, helped me carry everything to my car, and wasn't real busy or crowded. They hand out sack lunches for the homeless daily or if you have an address, a bag and a box with grocery items plus offer hygiene, clothing and other things if you let them know what your needed. This is offered once a week and you get a card to make things quicker for future visits! I was shocked that they helped me carry the boxes to my car, so forgot to ask about what all was available. I do know they said that day they were out of cat food, so if you have pets and need help with food, they got you covered!

They pick and choose who to give what to, they even took food out of my box and put it in the lady's box in front of me, then proceeded to tell me the same thing is in every box. She had 4 packs of chicken legs I had no meat at all , some walnuts, a couple can goods , some yogurt and 2loaves of bread. I have a family of 5 just because you know her and not me doesn't mean you have the right to take from me and give it to her. This is the second week in a row it has happened I'm new in town and this is the only pantry I know of but I will not be going back I'll figure it out.

They closed earlier than advertised BUT they gave me a box of food and dog food which I desperately needed so I'm grateful.
