Came here because I was expecting to find a variety of Latin American products. They had a couple of sections of Goya products but that was it. There were no varieties of Latin American products at all. Checked the frozen section, they had one freezer of Goya frozen fruits and yuca and that was it. Kind of disappointing for a "Latin Market."

I literally just purchase Pittsburgh hotlinks once or twice a year here. This is the only store I know that still sells them. If you're from East Texas or have family there you probably know what these are. Not many people do! I decided to buy more items today and look around. As I went to the register I noticed most of my items rung up wrong. Something told me to take pictures of marked down items. Glad I did! After showing the cashier, I still had to wait for her to run back to confirm the marked down price of 4 items. I'm not sure what's going on but the scan coordinator is definitely not doing their job at this store. I'm glad I shopped early otherwise most of the customers behind me would've been pissed. I noticed a few items that some people may want to know they have. One being Whataburger sauces and two Zatarain Creole injections. I will continue to just shop here for Pittsburgh hot links due to my experience with multiple wrong priced items today.

Do not buy the tres leche cakes from here. The cake was super dry and the fruit on top of the cake had mold under the jelly they put on top trying to hide it.

They always have a great selection of fresh produce and you can find ingredients here that are not always available in a mainstream grocery store.

This supermarket is so expensive! A box of General Mills or Post cereal was $4.99 when the nearest kroger is selling it for about $3. They do have giant boxes of cookies for very cheap though. If you want international foods, go to Fiesta instead. El rio doesn't have that much variety. In case you're looking for a Goya dessert, they don't have much of a selection. This location has poor signage within the store and I was roaming the aisles back and forth to find my item. I would avoid this location and venture to the next closest grocery store.

This is where I buy fruit. It's decently priced. Tip: December does not equal pear season. Pears are my favorite fruit. There are no more pears in Texas. :( Tip 2: All the other stuff isn't all that cheap. Meat and produce. Tip 3: Selection for other stuff isn't all that great, either. But the comidaria (is this a word?) is pretty good. I like the chicken. Tip 4: There is a tip section where you can write tips. No need to do this.

Stopped into this dingy supermarket, because it is right off the highway, I needed a few things for dinner. This creepy security guard came and harrassed me in the produce section, telling me that I MUST leave my purse at the front door. That I couldnt carry it throughout the store. He was inplying that i was going to steal....(spinach)? My bag is tiny!! Anyway, I am convinced this hoodrat 'security' was going to make off with my wallet, phone and keys. I shouldve reported him, he probably wasn't even security. Never shop here.
