I had a lovely experience in the store. I brought a bunch of my James Avery jewelry in to be cleaned. They did a great job of that, and fast!The charm event was going on and Pat and Kathy were super helpful in helping me find what I was looking for. I'll be happy to come back to this store whenever I'm in Fredericksburg!

Every single time I step foot into this location, I have nothing but the most attentive, friendly, professional service. Kathy and Lizzy are heaven sent and it feels like I’ve known them my whole life. They are just amazing souls. Stop in yesterday to have a clasp and charm repaired for my girlfriend and I was in an out in less than 20 minutes. 20 minutes!!!! The store in Huebner Oaks in San Antonio told me it’d be about a week.. I’m so very grateful that we still have this shop on Main Street and even more thankful for the ladies that work there. THEY are the difference. They are why I always shop there and they are the reason I will continue to shop at this specific location until Kathy and Lizzy retire. Great Job ladies!!

I love, love the James Avery store in Fredericksburg. They are so welcoming & always has a smile. Kate & Lizzy were awesome & I plan on coming to see them in November when we’re back. I’m from Waco but will go all the way to Fredericksburg just because of the hospitality! ?

Edit - We did contact JA Corporate and received a very promising response from the District Manager, Annie Vance. Annie was very kind and responsive to our issue with the Fredericksburg Store and assured us she would be actively working to improve guest relations therein. In return I assured her that we may go back to the store in a year or two. But likely won't purchase anything if the current store manager is still there. Also, as a note, if you read through the google and Yelp reviews for the store, you will notice a trend with the manager and POC who enter the store. There are more than a couple of reviews by Latino customers who felt ignored and also received rude treatment by 'The Gray Haired Lady". End Edit. Here is the review - We hadn't been to Fredericksburg in quite some time and really enjoyed the James Avery store in town on past visits, so we went cheerfully into the shop to browse and see what they had.Upon entering the store we were instantly greeted by Bonnie who graciously welcomed us and asked if there was anything we were looking for. My wife said yes, but that we wanted to look around first.This brought out a heavyset woman with grey hair and a farmhouse haircut who literally demanded to know what we were looking for. She wasn't nice. She wasn't welcoming. She was in fact, blocking our way into the store and was so rude that I honestly didn't know what to say at first. I told her that we just wanted to browse and she rudely said, and I quote "Fine. Browse". She made us feel rushed, unwelcome and perhaps thought we were wasting her time. Who knows?Non-plussed but confident, my wife and I browsed until I found what I was looking for by "TADA!" browsing.After we found what interested us, I selected a pearl pendant and and pearl ring to gift to my wife, who couldn't have been happier. Bonnie cheerfully helped us through the selection process and I unloaded about 1000 bucks on the place.NEVER TO RETURN as long as the overbearing lady is there.There are plenty of JA stores here in Austin. We liked the one in Fredericksburg for it's vintage charm. But after the welcome we received from Haircut lady, we won't return.In fact, I'm contacting James Avery corporate about how the staff treats paying customers. I honestly hope we never have to see that lady again.And Bonnie? She should be running the place!

Currently my second time in this particular James Avery Artisan location in upper-Texas and this visit warrants a review. As a [Retail] Regional Manager I have to point out the following for review:• No greeting, despite only 3 customers in store at time• 15-mins before any associate touched base with me, still no greeting [only because I happened to be by a customer who came in after me and happened to be looking around where I was]• Upwards of 5 customers helped before me, actually before even acknowledgedI’m sitting here in the store writing this review. Despite the fact an associate told me she would be *right back.I honestly hope every customer does not receive this kind of treatment in this location. It does not mimic my first visit at all. But this might be my last visit to this particular location due to such poor customer service.The beautiful location and cleanliness of the store warrants the second star.

I love James Avery, the service here really is superb! Many others can learn from the management style this company has regardless of location, they give THE top customer service! After a terrible disrespectful experience at another local shop, I was happy to invest in a beautiful collection at James Avery. I interacted with two sales clerks who were absolutely fantastic in helping me find the most beautiful pieces with price breaks I couldn't refuse. So happy with my purchase!! Thank you to the sales staff, you are awesome!
