If you want samples that hundreds of people have potentially touched, this is the right place for you. The concept of this store is so fun! You can sample a variety of things before you buy, including hot sauces, pickles, olives, mustard, preserves, and various sauces/dips. I only tried the preserves because I am not a fan of those other goods. However, my friends tried a lot of other samples and had a good time. I liked the wide selection of samples. Just make sure you bring a strong immune system with you. I must add, the hand sanitizer smelled AWFUL. I joked that they put olives in there, but I'm not really joking. The hand sanitizer was foul.

The best thing about this place is that you get to try before you buy. Nothing worse than buying a jar of something only to throw it away because it tastes horrible. At this place you get to try everything they have. Yes the prices are a little higher but you can't expect free samples without them having to charge a little more to cover the loss. At least you know what you will get before you buy it.

Great selection of salsas, you can sample and taste them all. Seasonings, jellies, beef jerky, aiolis, tons of pickled things and more. You will not walk out of here empty handed.

Love this place! All the samples to try before you buy.And the snarkiest sayings around.I suggested to the cashiers that they should have a glass jar wrapping competition for customers.I didn’t even look away for a second and they had my jars wrapped.Fastest wrappers around.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. If you can’t find some thing here, that you really like, and just have to buy, you have no taste buds.

Fun place to visit and sample. Just be careful as you WILL find a couple of things you just have to buy because it tastes so good. We always put Rustlin' Robs on our list of things to do in Fredericksburg, and yes we do find yummy things to bring home. If you think you are a tough guy, go to the back corner and they have some hot sauces that will bring you to your knees. Fun place.

If you're looking for a fun FOOD tasting experience in fredericksburg, this is your place. This is a large store that let's you taste literally EVERYTHING. You'll spend awhile in this store.Location: on main street. Can find by GPS.Atmosphere: very country feel. Large store with various sections for each type of food. The tastings are "help yourself." They provide crackers and serving spoons. We have been twice and this place was packed on a Saturday but also dead during the weekday (both times in October). They do have portapotties in the back behind the building but I recommend skipping them- I went to use them & totally disgusting.Service: not alot of interaction with the staff. They mostly keep to themselves except to check out or if you approach with a question. I do wish that staff would monitor a little better during tastings- it wouldn't be difficult for a person to double-dip or be gross. It's all based on honesty (this & bathrooms are my only reasons for 4 out of 5 stars).Food: savory dips, salsa, cheesecake dips, cider, olives, pickles, jams and preserves, aioli, hot sauce, pickled green tomatoes, jerky (can't taste), queso, summer sausage (can taste if they are making samples), etc.Prices: Dips run about $5 or 5 for $20. I believe their jarred items (olives, pickles, jams etc.) are about $12. They also sell their store shirts but they are expensive ($35).

So the big question is, are you a fan of sampling out of containers that dozens if not hundreds of people have already picked through? If so, then this is definitely the place for you. You can find every imaginable salsa, mustard, olives, preserves, garlic oil, rubs, and dips. At the very back of the store you'll find the well lit up hot sauce room. You can also purchase smoked sausages, cheese, cornmeal and jerky.

This place is so cool! Not only do they have every imaginable sauce, dip, jelly, or condiment you've ever seen but they allow you to try as many as you like! I've never gotten home to say I didn't like the product after trying it! Nice atmosphere with background music. And, the staff are really nice folks as well. It's a nice stop when in F'Burg...

Unbelievable selections of sauces, mixes and jelly type products. Many pickled items and tons of great gift items. If you are looking for a ridiculous hot sauce they probably have it. Very fun place to shop and try different flavors.

Very cool experience! So many delicious spreads to taste ? they had a large variety of samples to try and we came home with a few different flavors. The banana nut pecan honey butter, chocolate banana peanut butter, mango habanero glaze, and spicy chipotle olives…. There were so many more we also liked but that’ll be for our next visit! Staff was friendly and helpful.

I'm from Southern California and this is our first time visiting Texas for a mini-vacation. Highly recommended by our Lyft driver to visit this cute little town called Fredericksburg, it's an hour and 10 minutes away from where we're staying, in River Walk, San Antonio. Strolling down Main St., hubby & I came across this A-M-A-Z-I-N-G gourmet food store called Rustlin Rob's and what a glorious sight to see! A variety of jam preserves, nut butters, salsa, dips, oils, seasonings, jerky & snacks, condiments, dry rubs, hot sauce galore, you name it! Whatever tickles your fancy palette, you'll find it here with wall-to-wall free samples of everything! They even give free chili samples to try. Amazing gifts for friends, family and foodie aficionados. Would love to visit you again in the near future!

A fun place to stop in Fredericksburg! Just about every product in the store has samples available to taste test. A great place to come to get something touristy and Texas-themed that's also delicious. My dad and I tried the 2.7 million Scoville hot sauce... Not for the faint of heart, even a single drop had us sweating! Employees were really nice and friendly, there's something here for every taste.

One of my favorite places. Everything I get here is amazing. The only problem is that it takes me over 3hrs to get there, but it's worth it.
