Dollar general is my
"Go To" for many items. They do not have everything I need but they have many of the items I use on a regular basis. I buy all of my food keepers here (then I go home and store all kinds of stuff in them). Can't beat the prices on those, or on big plastic tote containers. One of the things I really like is their little food/grocery section where you can grab fresh produce like bananas, tomatoes, packaged salad, quick microwavable individual meals, pizza, ice cream, deserts, drinks of all kinds, etc. Really handy when you need a few items and you're in a hurry. Some cashiers at some of the stores seem to be on a different time line because they are a bit slow when you need help, just kind of slow in general. I usually associate that with employee dissatisfaction. If their employees were more enthusiastic about their jobs, we would all benefit!
But regardless, I'm hooked!

This Place has a lot of welcoming Southern vibes, the employees are helpful and nice. And the place is spacious with a lot of convenient goods.

i hate this store i got to walk to freeport from oyster creek 7.1mi cuz a/c dont work that sad then when they do open they want to sell the food in the store like why this sad but the one in freeport that my store i wish my dad never move my lil family out here cuz i hate it store dont be open for nothing and i got to walk to freeport like yesterday me and my look like walk yesterday guess what they close but 2 vehicle there its 1:12 p.m this sad o yeah just call there not open so plz stop the lies not picking up the phone so plz stop now i got to walk to freeport this sad ???Im going stay going to freeport one cuz this crazy but hoping a/c get done soon

We are getting really tired of this store being closed when employees are seen through the door purchasing food. It's been really cool so the "No air conditioning" excuse just doesn't fly. If they can buy products, why can't we and why are they working when the store is closed?

Place is always hot and unorganized, they say they are open but are not, they only stay open till 2 pm every thing is spoiled by now due to lack of A/C.

It is a well-organized and clean dollar store and would find anything you want since there are not many stores around it is good to store for people who stay at RV parks.
We are staying in a park on Bluewater Highway and the closest shop near us is this dollar store. When you compare price to dollar tree it is more expensive. When you have only this option there is not much to do.
The people who work there were nice and helpful to me.
