JD is a crook and a terrible business man. He was supposed to rebuild my Son's transmission almost a full year ago, he was PAID IN FULL for the job....almost a YEAR ago. Over the months he has lied repeatedly, and not once was he transparent about why the job was taking so long. He has given excuse after excuse, complaining about his old age and health problems, but he didnt have any problem taking money from a 20 year old kid and has let him go without a car for a year... clearly not fixing the car like he was paid to do...and has put this transmission job on the back burner so he could make money on other customers that came AFTER us. Jd is not trustworthy, he completely ripped off my son! When we finally got the call that the car was ready a couple weeks ago, we showed up at Jds shop and No one was there, but the car's windows were down and the keys in the ignition...first thing I noticed was all the mold throughout the whole interior of the car, I have pictures, and also the shifter knob was broken....My husband started the car, and immediately then engine rpm's shot up to 3000 rpm, there's transmission fluid leaking, and when he tried to shift into reverse, the gears grinded like metal to metal. We got off the property and had to have it towed away from JDs incompetent shop. Who knows what he did to the motor, what a terrible experience for our family...clearly it was not ready but I'm glad he can't touch it anymore, he's a disgrace and should be ashamed of himself. And Jd you said you would test drive the car after you put the transmission back in, clearly you did not. Do not trust this guy with your vehicle. I encourage you to go elsewhere if you want a good job done. JD will rip you off, I wish I would have seen the reviews before deciding to let this man touch my Son's car. Please read all the reviews!! Just like his other unsatisfied customers, we will be suing you after a thorough inspection of the car by a professional mechanic!!

Went to get a transmission rebuild and they told me it was ready. Went to drive home and my transmission slipped gears and heard a loud grinding noise. Went to go check my fluid levels and found out there was no fluid in my transmission. Thanks a lot I have to buy a new transmission now.

JD transmission shop is the worst I have ever dealt with. He rebuilt my son transmission twice and still lost 3rd gear plus charge me twice to get it fix. He don’t stand by his word on warranty on transmission. The bad thing also is the transmission tunnel is bent, is missing two bolt to the bell house and three bolt were not tight, transmission pan bent and could be more. After going through him I have two friends that told me the same thing but was bad is when they drove off his lot that day and broke down. He talks a lot of mess bout build them right and know what to do. He didn’t know jack s***t bout doing it right just robbing people for there money. My recommendation for rebuild transmission is Coastal Transmission. They stand by there word and it’s done right. Little pricey but worth it.

JD, my son brought you his 2000 Dodge truck in Aug. 2021. You took over 6 months to repair, which we understand it was a parts issue. We have read multiple reviews that state you tell other clients the same thing. He drove the truck for 1 month and the transmission went out again. You have now had it for an additional 5 months and his truck hasn't moved nor been repaired. You are about to have had his truck for an entire year an this is beyond unacceptable. The excuses that have been given to us are apparently what you tell almost all your clients. At this point, you need to contact us and let us know if you're going to repair or replace his transmission before August 1st, 2022; or provide us a refund and we haul our truck to another shop. I took my infinity G35 there because it wouldn’t shift past 3rd gear. JD said he thought he could fix it and seemed like he knew what he was talking about. We suspected some build up on the speed pick up may have been it issue and we were going to try to flush the system. Before I knew it he said we had to rebuild the transmission. He had my car for over nine months rebuilding the transition and once that was done we were still exactly were we started out. I had to get a new valve body and get him to install that. I would check back and find the car parked outside , he would say he was going get to it next week and when I would show up it would still be outside. I finally got my car back after almost a year. I had to end up buying another car because it took so long. The car seemed to be fixed and working properly but took entirely too long. Nice guy but maybe over extends himself. If you need your car back quickly go somewhere else.

Filed complaint with attorney general, BBB, and now in process of filing in small claims court. A job quoted for 1 week wasnt done 2 months later and transmission was worse than when dropped off. Second mechanic informed me used parts (which were told new were used) were used in job and that he recommends new transmission instead of going behind this shop and trying to find what all was done wrong in rebuild. Truck is now fixed and doing fine thanks to second mechanic.

Would put 0 stars but cant...took in a 2017 f250 for a trans coolant line leak and they damaged the caseing now i have to pay for it $200 dollar job turn into a $1600 people these days cant make a good living they have to ripoff people

Took 5 months to get my vehicle back and I had to call to get updates. Also had to be somewhat rude to get it back and the problem was not fully fixed so i have to take it elsewhere to find out the exact issue.. also had mouse droppings throughout the vehicle when did finally picked it up and teeth marks under the cupholder. Jd is friendly but has poor time management in my experience.
