My pregnant wife and I found ourselves stranded about 20 minutes outside of Freer, TX, on a Friday afternoon in the middle of nowhere. After waiting two hours for AAA to dispatch a tow truck and attempting to contact them myself, I reached out to the Freer, TX police department, who put me in touch with Dora. Even though she was off-duty and it was a Friday night, the start of the weekend, she arrived promptly, loaded our car onto her tow truck, and transported us to Freer, TX, so we could leave the vehicle at a place where it could be repaired.
Since the necessary repairs to the car were not simple, and our final destination was still quite far away, she was incredibly gracious in helping us get closer to where we needed to go.
