I’ve been patient with this pharmacy for a long time, but this was the last straw. After several days without an update on my prescription (and receiving an automated message saying a prior authorization was required and requested), I called to check on it.
The representative who answered was rude and dismissive from the start. When I explained I was calling about a prescription, all I got was an “okay.” I gave my name and DOB, and he flatly said there was nothing they were working on for me. When I asked about my medication by name, he said they were told they could only give me a one-month supply. I asked why that was different from the last 90-day fill, and he just said he didn’t know — “insurance changes.” Monthly? His tone the entire time was condescending and unhelpful.
Communication here has always been poor, prescriptions are often not ready on time, and this level of customer service sealed my decision to move all my prescriptions elsewhere.

This is the most god awful pharmacy I have ever had to deal with. There medication refill policies are barbaric. They just don’t care.

It takes this pharmacy days to fill prescriptions. The doctor called in 3 for my husband a day BEFORE his surgery. I went to pick them up AFTER the surgery. They were not ready and they offered no reason. I am sure that they will be just fine without my business.

Called multiple times about a prescription over 3 hours, nobody ever answered the calls so we went elsewhere for our prescription.

Employees are always great, but the prices even when insurance have went up.I can get my same prescriptions elsewhere for a lot less. I don't know what's going on with HEB

I recently started using HEB pharmacy full time and honestly, it has been a breath of fresh air compared to Kroger, cvs or even a mail order pharmacy. The people at this specific location have been fantastic. Sure, wait times in the drive thru can be crazy at times, but it really helps when they have both lines open and today they had two people working the drive thru, and it was amazing! Keep up the great work and as long as it's convenient to me, I will continue to use the HEB pharmacy!

HEB pharmacy has consistent inefficient and rude customer service. Politely keeping customers informed goes a long way toward good business practices, respectful and mature communication as well as customer appreciation. Often prescriptions aren’t ready or only partially completed, and wait times are constantly excessive. Polite communication would help to mitigate poor reviews.

It seems that some of these negative reviews are referencing HEB's app, insurance issues or drugs not being in stock, but as far as the pharmacy staff goes, they are always polite and the pharmacy is always clean. My medication has been on national backorder on and off for most of the year, and while it's extremely frustrating, I am smart enough to realize that it isn't the pharmacy's fault. HEB pharmacy is MUCH better than Walgreens and CVS, that's for sure.

I was visiting in Texas with my wife and had my MD. Send over 2 script 1 for her and 1 for me went to pick up both scripts from the drive thru took scripts and left of course you don't make a habit of counting pills when I got back to my friends house gave my wife her meds she said it didn't look like the full amount there were 30 pills short, checked mine 15 short

For the love of God do not bother bringing your prescriptions here. They are an absolute nightmare. Even when you get a notification your medication is ready, you have a 50/50 chance it’s actually ready. There is more but not enough room to type it all. I have wasted so much time with this place and will never ever go back. Customer BEWARE.
