Player 1 Video Games is a retro games store considered the best in the entire Houston area. It is described as an absolute gem and a gamer paradise, offering a great variety of games for all kinds of consoles. The store functions like a wonderful time capsule and a blast from the past, filled with cool items and some of the finest retro tech. The inventory is genuine and works, with all items clearly labeled. The store maintains a real revolving inventory with new stuff coming in all the time, unlike other shops. The staff is super knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer questions. They provide services like buffing out scratched discs. While some note the prices can be a bit pricier than others, customers feel this is because it is a real retro game shop with real employees, not a junk warehouse. The prices are considered reasonable for the games they have. The owner is known for a wonderful level of sarcasm in responses. Overall, it is a fine gaming establishment where customers never leave empty handed and would absolutely recommend it.
The staff is amazing and willing to explain everything that I didn't understand. I've been looking for very specific games and they are willing to look through the cases with me to find them. I keep going back because everyone who works there is so exceptionally nice.

It's a great time to be a gamer. Player 1 has very fine quality games and consoles. Cool dudes running the place are also well cultured. Gives me deep nostalgia just to be there looking around at the merchandise.
