I have been to a few spas in the Houston Metro area and this by far has been the best. I honestly didn't feel like I was in Texas. The decor and the way the spa is laid out is beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly from the receptionist to the young lady at the wine bar. And, the spa services were great-really enjoyed my body scrub and massage. My skin feels amazing and My energy is up. I also had some of the best chicken salad ever. I can't wait for my next visit! We're doing a private room for a small group of friends. We made a pact, as educators, to do these visits at least 4 times a year.

I had a wonderful and relaxing massage with Donna. This my first time here and I was so pleased of how beautiful and clean Bergamos is. My Hubby and I had beer and wine after my massage along with the beef sliders. Absolutely Delicious. Looking forward to the next time.

The best luxury day spa I've been to in the Houston area. The green peel facial has transformed my skin!

They really have no idea what they are doing. Booked a prenatal massage and the message therapist gave me such a horrible back spasm that I had to see a chiropractor for a few weeks straight just to be able to sit or walk comfortably. The massage therapist at bergamos was trying to tell me there was some underlying issue with my L4 and L5 vertebrae( she's no doctor, she can't tell people these things!) Trying to get management on the phone after that was a nightmare as well. They just ignore it and wait for you to just go away.

I have waited long enough for restitution and now its time to share. I do not recommend bergamos spa and would like to see them close or get new management or better yet a new owner! I had a pedicure there in January and was injured which caused me to need treatment from my foot doctor that lead to very painful recovery for several weeks. I contacted managment at bergamos and waited several weeks for reply. I finally got an apology and explanation that this never happens and what can they do. I said I wanted my 200 dollar gift card refunded because I am not comfortable returning for any more services and I wanted to make an in insurance claim to get my medical bills covered. The owner said that she would refund my card, but that insurance would probably do nothing. I said I want to claim anyways. A week after I get 20 dollars refund in my bank account and nothing else. It is now May and I have not recieved the rest of my refund or claim information for my medical bills even though I have contacted the owner several times. I have gotten no response either. I'm so very disappointed in this place as I had enjoyed 2 pedicures here before with no problem or else I would not have bought gift cards to use for several more treatments during thier black Friday sale. I'm very disappointed that this is a Friendswood business and our only close by "nice" spa. My friend and I can no longer enjoy this together unless we want to go into town. Horrible that they will not own up to their mistakes and take care of their customers especially ones who are repeat customers! I guess they specialize in one time customers only! Never go here unless you wanna risk injury!

SORRY for the long post! This has been bothering me for weeks and I gave Bergamos a chance to resolve it in that time frame. I wanted to share my experience that I had with our hometown Bergamos "retreat" spa. I booked a full day spa for 5 people on April 7th. This was supposed to be an escape from the real world for all of us, especially for myself. I needed some relaxing time due to some unexpected stress. I would be paying solely for this full day spa for the 5 of us as well as coordinating everything. I called several weeks prior to our "spa date" and left a message about what I was wanting for my group. I received a call back from Nikki, the spa coordinator. I asked if they offered any group discounts. Nikki said all she could give us was the regular 20% off that she gives people with 3 premier services. So I booked the 80 min quartz table massage, facial and prosecco scrub for the group. I ask about food and wine and she explained that you can have food ordered in, but you can not bring wine since they are so proud of being a full wine bar, ok great, we will order wine! The day prior I got a call informing me that the amazing Quartz table is broken and they are waiting on a part to arrive. At this point, what could I do but agree to do the 80 minute massage on the wave table instead. She also explained that we could now take wine throughout the spa because they just got received approval and special cups for this. We arrived at the spa, it looks beautiful and we are excited this day has finally arrived!! Thats about where all the excitement ends. The 80 minute massage turns into a 50 minute massage with then leaving you laying on a water bed like table for the additional 30 minutes. The staff was rude and is constantly chasing my party around telling us we can not drink the wine (thats another story) in the pool, salt cave or really anywhere. When we said they told us we could, they would all come back with different answers. At one point one of my guests was told to "chug" her wine so she could go upstairs. Wine!! That was another joke. Every time we ordered a bottle, they told us they were out of it. We finally said ok, what white wines do you have? We eventually got a bottle of white wine and ordered another to find out they were out of that now as well. The lady in the wine bar asked another one of my guests to get out of the pool to come pick out a wine because she was not familiar with the wines and she was the only one working the bar. Mind you, we were basically the only ones in the spa that day. My guest was shocked as she gets out of the pool to go look through the bar for a bottle of wine. For claiming to be a high end retreat, I was extremely disappointed to see they had no extra amenities for guest, like hairspray, toothbrushes, makeup remover, snacks, fruit etc. etc.....They did have A hairbrush that you could use, but it was just on the counter not sterilized between uses. The young girls that were working the spa seemed to have an attitude and were not helpful or accommodating at all she would not check on us to see if we needed anything. At checkout, the young girl got an attitude as well, telling us she was ready to go home when we refused to pay for a bottle of red wine they gave to us, even though we never ordered red wine and did not drink it. I did call Nikki to resolve this the following day. She apologized and said none of that should of happened. She said the massage should of been 80 minutes as she promised and we were not supposed to be left to lay on the table for 30 minutes. She also explained how the BIG wine order had not arrived and that is why they were so low on inventory. In addition, she said the rule of having wine through out the spa is true, but the staff was not trained on the rule as of yet.....REALLY, so it's not my job or my guests to constantly tell them about the new rules. So basically, everything was either not as promised due to broken equipment, stock levels and employees not being trained on new procedures. I e

If they hadn't spent so much on the building maybe they would have had some money left to actually complete the amenities properly. No cafe, sauna and steam room were malfunctioning (not close to hot enough), and there are no basic amenities for guests that will be spending a day there. "Spa" water is sink water with a few lemon slices and the ambiance is pretentious but for no reason that I can see. I will not be back. For the prices being so high I really expected more. I had a massage in a hot, bright room. Nothing about the service felt exceptional. Massage table was hard as well.

My husband and I drove in from Houston. We were looking for a spa that had a sauna, hot tub and massage. This place is amazing and just as nice as the Houstonian Trellis spa but more affordable. Customer service was fantastic all the way from the call to make the reservation to the bartender (yes.. there is a bar and cafe opening soon!) to the receptionist who gave me a tour and let's Not forget the best massage ever. Everyone was so accommodating and the facility is gorgeous. We will be back again and again!

Beware of this place. Don't ever buy gift cards here. You will have a difficult time using them. I bought my wife $400 in gift cards. They were running a promotion that came with some "points" of the same dollar value. They told us that the points could only be used at certain times for certain services. No problem. I understand the points are a promotional thing and they can restrict them however they want. The gift cards, however, were regular gift cards with no restrictions. They eagerly took my money, but they are not so eager to redeem them. Every time my wife calls to make an appointment they require a credit card, and refuse to even make an appointment without a credit card. When she tells them she is using a gift card and will not give them a credit card, they seem utterly confused. Today I was even told by the spa manager that they didn't think gift cards could be used for any discounted services or promotions. Gift cards are like cash. There are no restrictions on the back of the card. We will use our points and gift card values and never darken their doors again.

The new facility is amazing, you must see it to appreciate it fully! It rivals spas I've visited in Las Vegas and Vail! The aqua table massage is AMAZING!!! And plan to stay a while to enjoy the hot tub and salt room!

Update to my previous review. I was SUPER excited for the renovation and wanted to give this spa another shot. I was completely enamored by the physical beauty of the space. Let me tell you -- GORGEOUS. I was a little saddened the cafe wasn't opened, so no mimosa to kick off my morning of relaxation. The receptions told me i was welcome to use a food delivery service. I imagine she was suggesting UberEats or GrubHub. I was checked in at 9:45 for a 12:30 massage. I had to leave at 1:30 to pick up my child, so I would have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the amenities before the massage. This would give me ten minutes to dress and pay before leaving to pick up my child. The hot tub? AHHMAZING. Water jets, a lounge in the jets and even a water spout designed to hit shoulder pain. A very nice dry sauna and steam sauna was available. I had to study for a test, so I went upstairs to the co-Ed waiting area. Again, kind of sad there was just some spa water. No fruit, no cookies, no hot teas, nothing. Just some water with a few lonely lemon slices floating. Sigh. I studied for my test on the serene balcony, get a little tired from reading and retreat to the "quiet area". Beautiful loungers, dimmed lights, a door so you don't hear people in and out as they are called back for services. But the loungers are such a shape that you cannot even really take a cat nap. Plus there are no blankets, no neck wraps, nothing to make you feel cozy like a flickering candle or fireplace. Sigh. At this point it's about 11:30 and I decide to use the spa waters again and take a hot shower so I'm relaxed for the massage. The showers have been upgraded. There is one shower that appears to be ADA accessible and has a removable shower nozzle. I go in the other shower with the rain option. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash all smell good and the shower has good vibes. I was kind of grossed out that someone left a wet towel behind and a dried out bar of soap on top of the toiletries dispenser. It's not super busy on a Tuesday morning, so the attendant should have been able to pick up between guests that are too selfish to pick up after themselves. Sigh. I'm feeling pretty chill, but a little hungry. Missing the cantaloupe juice, fruit tray, warm neck wraps and kind spa attendant at my go to spa, but I go upstairs 15 min prior to my massage with an open mind. 12:30 passes 12:35 passes 12:40 passes Kinda freaking out at this point because I have a 50 massage and I need to leave on time to pick up my child. I'm also a little confused as to why any therapist would run late at a spa? If the previous appointment started late, the guest would typically have to forfeit the time and the service still ends on time. I walk downstairs (again missing having a guest concierge upstairs) and asked the receptionist what the heck was happening. She was clueless. I went back to my locker, changed out of my robe and into my street clothes. I was so upset! This was my big mommy morning away and I wasted it on THIS?! no massage?! Plus I was feeling hangry by this point because I'm so accustomed to a hot tea and a little fruit or something while I chill. As I exited the receptionist (not the manager) told me the therapist was still in session and she was unable to reach him. It was 12:45. Should I really have to cut my appointment time short because of their facility running behind?! Why couldn't someone tell me they were running behind? I was over 2.5 hours early for my appointment. It made zero sense. Completely without logic. The reception told me the manager apologized and would give me 25% off if I pre book another appointment. No thanks. I've got to go grab a smoothie and pick up my kid. I really thought the manager would call back at some point in the day, but it's 6pm and no word from the spa. Oh well, I guess that's why their rating hasn't improved despite the gorgeous new facility.

I have been a guest of this beautiful, amazing spa for many visits over several years now and I love it! I always get a massage when I go here, and have had the best massage therapists ever! I believe the quality of service here cannot be beat! From the moment you enter the lobby and get checked in, until the moment you exit, the entire time you feel special, pampered, cared for, and totally relaxed! It is wonderful! They give you a locker, a soft and cozy robe, and slippers. You can wait in an absolutely gorgeous lounge and even take a dip in the plunge pool or sit in a steam sauna room. There are other features too, but those are the ones I know the most about because I have tried them all! Bergamos has just reopened this summer (2018) with it's brand new remodeled facility! It is SPECTACULAR! It was really elegant and wonderful before, but now it is even more amazing! I was blown away as I walked into the place today for my massage! The massage therapist who did an excellent job on my 50 minute light relaxation massage was Nicole. I highly recommend her for massage! After my massage, I was given lemon water and spent an hour lounging on the balcony overlooking the creek and woods with birds singing and a gorgeous blue sky! It was perfect! I love the balcony! It is a great addition they have added with the new remodel of the building. It was a great idea and will be even more wonderful once the weather cools down a little. After reading on the balcony for a while, I went inside and lounged on a super comfortable couch with my feet propped up on a stylish leather ottoman! It was great! I have always had a great experience at Bergamos and I highly recommend it!
