Do not get a checking account. It is the hardest thing to close. You have no say so even when you’re the account holder to do anything with the account. I go to close the account, they said everything will be immediate and neither of the cards will be able to be used. I look on my account an hour later the joint holder is still using the card. I called back and they told me it’s not immediate. I don’t like being lied to, and then they tell you they can’t freeze anything, and things will take 2 to 3 business days, and they can’t prevent Overdrafts. Just go get a different bank. I’ve already moved myself over to a different bank. Will never bank with them or get any card with them again.

This bank and customer service is awful. Do not do business with this bank! They close accounted without notice and then can really explain the matter to you when you try to address your concerns!

I went to the bank and was unprepared. I spoke with Ebone who was beyond helpful. She walked me through all of the steps needed to complete my deposit with a large amount of coins. She also helped me with a smile on her face even though this was not an easy challenge to face. I really appreciated the way she took care of me and my family will be using their services for a very long time. Awesome job Ebone!

At 5am in the morning on September 1st I deposited my rent money. The ATM ate said rent money. They refuse to issue a provisional credit for up 2 10 days. When I inquired about the bank paying my late fees yesterday I was told the bank would cover them. Today on the second all of the sudden they won't. Capital One isn't a bank they are a clearing house. Here is an auto loan but the bank has nothing 2 do with it. Oh you have a problem w the ATM at the branch? We aren't responsible for that either. What a joke!

The customer service is extremely poor, as if being friendly is beyond their capacity. Initially, I requested to cash the check for immediate fund availability. However, I later changed my mind and opted for the check to be cashed then deposited into my account. Despite this, the representative deposited the check, causing a hold to be placed. It would have been simpler to use Mobile Deposit. I CANNOT recommend this experience.

Worst branch for banking ever. These ppl are completely incompetent and useless. Thier attitude is unbelievable when they tell you, "this is how we manage our money..." Newsflash, it's not your money, it's mine! And now I'll take all of it out and close my accounts. Oh, don't try to apply for a line of credit for your business w them either, they'll fraudulently acquire your SS# then run your personal credit, when all you provided was business related info, like your EIN! Strange, no one authorized you to do that either! But you did!

I really should’ve read the reviews before coming here. The first day I walked in after the website said no appointment needed just to be told make an appointment and come back the next day. When I showed up for my first appointment, I had to wait 20 minutes while they held onto my paperwork and would let me know when they were ready. When we finally went to an office to start the paperwork, they couldn't sign into their own systems to even begin so it took another 20 minutes. By the time I was finally done with everything it took one hour and 35 minutes to open a single business account. Most of this time was spent with me being left in a room while they did whatever else they needed to do around the office. I plan on opening a bank account with a completely different bank shortly.

My husband and I have been banking at Capital One for about 7 years, it's our secondary bank. Their employee Simba in my opinion needs sensitivity training and good common sense which he seems to lack. Employees should know not to discriminate or try and size up customers. In opinion he is rude and went out of his way not to service/assist me during my visit. I'm sure once I left and he found out who I was, he felt like exactly what he is...in my opinion. I plan to contact management at Capital One and provide them a detailed description of what took place during my visit.

I wish we had an option to give it a -1 rating. Absolutely pathetic customer service. The Capital One website states that no appointments are needed; when we walked in we were told upfront that an appointment ‘might’ be needed but only after verifying the nature of transaction. We went in to open a business account with all the documents and were told to wait for an hour because all of a sudden they realized that they had another appointment; with entire office being vacant. Prima facie the staff was incompetent to handle / honor the nature of this transaction because of lack of skills. We would never recommend this specific branch for any transactions. Better go to Chase or any other bank.

45 mins to get a cashiers check because the teller had to call back office to verify. They were courteous but the wait time is unacceptable

They have the best savings and CD rates around. There banking website is clear and easy to use. There physical locations are disappearing fast though.
