Unprofessional, condescending too busy to get out early than to do a job professionally.
Charged my card before I authorized and while I was in the restroom and then said it was my fault and when I questioned told me that the manager had gone home early so I would be forced to to deal with it at a later time.

NOTE: hours have changed recently! Otherwise, professional, courteous, and helpful. My in-person experience has been 100% positive.

Hertz in Frisco charged $250 detailing fee for the car smelling like smoke and ashes found in the trunk that were not mine. No resolution was given by management. Poor customer service from all staff except the black Woman with glasses (she was professional and very helpful at time of renting the vehicle initially)

This Hertz location is a circus, avoid at ALL costs even if your insurance is covering it. Find a different rental company or at least a different location.

This is ridiculous. The hertz app shows vehicle available and ready for me to pick up. I show up to be told that I’m on a waiting list. Gabe, who claimed to be the manager, offered for me to head to the airport. Then stated he doesn’t control revenue management when I asked if the rate was the same. No empathy when it comes to an out of towner—someone who uses hertz faithfully. Just horrible experience.

Very poor service — I had a confirmed booking for over a month, but one hour before pickup, Hertz told me no cars were available. The staff was rude on the phone and hung up. Because of this, I had to book with Enterprise at triple the cost. Very disappointing experience with Hertz.
I want to give 0 star but do not have 0 star

I’ve been a loyal Hertz Gold member for years, renting multiple times per month from the Frisco location for business, and this was by far the most frustrating and unprofessional experience I’ve ever had.
When I arrived to pick up my rental, the new manager was training an employee but spent more time complaining than doing his job. In the middle of my check-in, I had to listen to him tell me he didn’t want to be transferred there, that he “doesn’t get paid enough to deal with this location,” and that he would no longer allow customers to rent unless it was through long-term insurance because “we don’t make no money on customers like you.” He even dismissed the benefits of being a Gold member, telling me those perks don’t apply here because it’s not an airport. The attitude was beyond disrespectful and completely unprofessional.
To make matters worse, the trainee swiped my card multiple times even though the terminal clearly said “approved” each time. The manager eventually stepped in, processed it correctly without another swipe. I asked him if I’d have multiple holds on my card because of the errors and I was caught off guard by his flippant response of “yeah you’ll get it back after it pends.” That kind of mistake should be explained clearly, not treated as an inconvenience I just have to live with.
Returning the car was no better. As always, I dropped the keys, asked the employee at the desk for my receipt to be emailed, and walked out to meet my Uber. The manager actually had her shout for me to come back inside, then he told me that under “new management” I had to wait for the vehicle to be inspected before I could leave and threatened to keep the deposit if I refused to wait. Not only was this never communicated when I picked up the vehicle, but the way it was said was rude, condescending, and completely unacceptable.
I don’t often write reviews, but I’ve never had a customer service experience with such blatant disrespect, dismissive attitude, and lack of professionalism. If this is the new “standard” under his leadership, Hertz needs to take a serious look at who they’re putting in charge of this location. Customers deserve better.

I returned my car early and left the key hidden inside the car as this location no longer has an after-hours drop box. When I called in the next morning to have them process the car return, the rep was rude and then processed the return as if it was at another location adding a $100 inter city fee to my final bill. Based on his overall demeanor, I am certain he did this on purpose. He said my only option was to bring in my original agreement, or call the 800 # to have this rectified.
In a world full of choices, I will take my loyalty elsewhere.

I used car insurance to rent a car for two days. I return the car with full tank, but they charged me an $84 for fuel fee! How it tha possible , I don't think any car full tank can cost $84 with current Texas gas price. The most rediculous part is that I retured it with full tank!

This is by far the worst Hertz location I’ve ever dealt with. They are extremely understaffed, and even when someone is available, they’re often inside doing something instead of helping customers. I made a reservation a week in advance and even confirmed the day before that everything was good. But when I showed up to pick up the car, I was told their “system was down” and they couldn’t process my reservation.
I checked with Hertz customer service, and they confirmed there were no system issues reported anywhere—so clearly this was just a problem at this location. Instead of offering any real help, the staff were completely nonchalant, basically telling me to wait until their system came back online. The way they spoke made it seem like it was my problem to deal with, not theirs.
If this location can’t manage reservations properly, can’t staff adequately, and can’t even treat customers with basic professionalism, then what’s the point of keeping it open? Save yourself the trouble and avoid this location at all costs.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a rental car company. I returned a car and rented a new one, and I specifically told the rep I only wanted to pay the rental rate — no insurance since I already have my own. He ignored me, added $55/day insurance without my consent, and never provided a new rental agreement.
The rep was rude, dismissive, and even told me he didn’t care because it was his “last two weeks.” This was over Labor Day weekend, with only one worker and 10+ customers waiting. I spent over 130 minutes waiting for a car. I’ve called several times to get this resolved no answer.
When I finally got the car, it was dirty, had multiple dashboard warning lights on (oil/service required), and was not in proper condition. I was told I had no other option but to take it.
Now I’ve been overcharged by hundreds of dollars, given no way to speak with corporate directly, and left with the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Unprofessional, dishonest, and unsafe. Renters beware: double-check your charges, get a copy of your agreement, and expect zero accountability if something goes wrong.
I really wish I could speak to someone to get this resolved

Cars are good if you don’t mind waiting an hour to get them. I have used them three times and they don’t have any regard for your time. Each time had to wait for than 30 minutes.
