Do not go here they will say they want to help and see if they can give you a better deal but in reality just want to take your money. I wasn’t told it would cost $50 that I absolutely don’t have because I’m on disability I get only one check a month. The only reason I went is because I got a huge back payment from social security and other issues that I never had to deal with in the past for taxes. Gopichand the tax guy after spending 30 minutes seeing what was better filing separate years for the back pay or just filing it all for 2024. He then started telling me I would basically have to pay $460 for him to file when I could just do it for free from turbo tax all he did was plug it in the same as I would have done on turbo tax I just didn’t know at the time it was a possibility. Then at the end he said he wanted $50 for his 30 minute service that literally helped nothing! I was not happy that he waited till the end to tell me I owed him $50 if I would have known that I would have just filed at home. Not to mention it took me two weeks to try to get him on the phone to see if I even needed to come in for a consult I had to show up in person and was basically forced to consult. I told him next time he needs to be up front with his fees. This is unacceptable and I should not have to pay the $50 but because I was raised honest I will once my check comes in 4 weeks I will never trust a H&R Block again.

Do not file your taxes with H&R Block.
I was a loyal customer for 15 years and never had any issues. This last year they made a mistake on my taxes. A 7500 dollar mistake. Told me I would be better off taking care of it myself instead of them refilling.
I have still not received my tax money. Dealing with IRS is difficult.
I have tried for months to get a refund for the 359 I paid for my taxes to be filed. Every time I call they say they will set up for someone to call I never receive a call.
Then I call back and am told there is no way to directly reach the department.

This place deserves 0 stars. I was supposed to receive my refund on April 17. However, after not receiving it for a couple of days found out that it was sent to the absolute wrong bank account. It is now almost a month later and no case number had even been set up until yesterday.

While the staff was polite, the agent that filed my forms seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing, asked for help numerous times and really wasn’t as informative or helpful as I’m used to, especially when I file through H&R every year to make certain it gets done correctly . There was one instance where I almost paid an additional $700 upfront because she made a few mistakes on my forms, it wasn’t until I spoke up about it did another agent have to fix it , but if I didn’t speak up that could’ve been a huge loss on me, times are hard and mistakes like that cannot happen. While I paid all my fees to get stuff done, I left feeling uneasy about everything. My single w2 tax document took me 3 hours with an appointment, and agents at this establishment say conflicting things about tax information which is alarming considering people go to H&R for expertise and knowledge.
The staff was friendly but I won’t be returning here.

Used Sherman TX location last year without delay or mistake (to my knowledge). Used Frisco TX location this year, and preparer used wrong address (which could lead to ID Theft). The Frisco HRBlock office will not correct their own mistake until after 04.15.2024. Not acceptable. I did not ask for ID Theft Protection, but it seems it was paid for, and now the HRB agent has made the wrong address an issue, I'm glad that protection is supposedly in place. Plus a "Peace of Mind" contract was paid for, which seems to be a DTPA issue, as I have not received any "peace of mind" from the Frisco H&R Block. In fact there may be yet another issue with a 1099. Sherman HRB will be correcting these Frisco HRB errors, which the Frisco HRB office seems reluctant to own and to fix. I've reported my complaint re Frisco HRB to HRB Customer Service (supposedly on Expedited Review, have yet to get a callback from said Customer Service). However, I have heard from manager at the Frisco HRB, and I have stated that Sherman HRB will amend the 1040 filed by Frisco HRB. I have prepared IRS Forms 14157 + 14157A Complaints to inform the IRS as well of this Frisco HRB agent and "team." Am compiling all evidentiary documentation for the IRS to attach to said forms.

Extremely unprofessional service, I wish Yelp can let us give 0 stars. Firstly, My request was to work with Master Tax Advisor and not a Simple Tax consultant. Last year after scheduling my appointment with Master Tax Advisor, my case was assigned to someone else because he was double booked and his previous appointment was running longer than expected. Unfortunately I had no option but to go with the assigned person because the deadline was 2 days away.This year, I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance and requested the lady at front desk not to double book my appointment and make sure I get assigned to the Master Tax Advisor, I was assured that I will have a good experience this time but guess what HISTORY REPEATS.People like me come to HR block because we want to work with senior Tax advisors who can help us and guide us with their experience. I personally do not want to work with people with lesser experience.I hope somebody will see my review and schedule my appointment with. Senior Tax advisor and help me file my taxes on time this year
