Prices are going crazy due to corporate greed, the self checkout sux

I have enjoyed going to this Kroger. I have found good products at great price. Till today. My 76 years old father was with me, he wears a religious mark on his forehead. One bespectacled Asian man dressed in formal clothes in his early thirties stood by the self check out counter playing with his yo-yo ball. A white woman of similar age group stood by him. This man gestured jokingly at my father’s forehead and asked what the symbol meant. I could see he did not intend it out of benign curiosity. My father however explained and as we moved I heard the man and his fried laugh out loud. My father later told us that this man had already called out to him twice with the same question! I did not want to alarm my parents with any formal complaint there but definitely do want to warn Kroger and customers. We did not feel safe! Better take our business to HEB across the street. Kroger can keep its unsafe unfriendly practices to itself.

Staffing sucks among other things! First they mostly do self-checkout, and then only have one side open. Now they can’t even staff customer service area. Save your self the trouble, glad they put H.E.B. In across the street, where I’ll be going from now on.

Neat and clean in comparison to other grocery stores. The staff is always helpful and things are being actively restocked.

Had bad experience:Ordered a birthday cake for my son two weeks in advance ,on the day of delivery surprised to see a different cake was given .On enquiry the person at the bakery told she don't have any idea . It was my son’s 10th Birthday and decoration is based on the cake we ordered and completely messed up. We ordered another cake with different theme. Though the store manager void the amount. It’s not something acceptable as these are some important moments to cherish and not about money . Hope they take care of the issue .

They are clearly not prepared for the rush of people for New Years. They had one lane open and the line wrapped around all the lanes. Then when you try to find a manager there’s not one around and the people you ask have no idea. As we were walking out there was an employee sitting in a chair at the front who was asleep. No wonder we rather go to H-E-B

Just bad business practices, they advertise prices but charge something else. I will say something about it and they will change the price but it is always a hassle. This has been going on for a while and only seems to be getting worse. Go somewhere else instead, many grocery stores nearby, these guys do not seem to care and are not worth it.

Excellent service shopping inside or online/pickup, no waiting. Visit family here and frequently go here when visiting the area. Prices are competitive and enjoy the fresh quality produce as we mainly eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Clean store, friendly and helpful staff. Great discounts on fuel.

I would choose any other pharmacy over this one. The older lady with thick coke bottle glasses does not need to be checking people out at 5pm in the evening. Zero sense of urgency and the lack of self awareness is astonishing.

Does anyone know what the circled 2.99 for ? I checked all items I brought home with those check marks, only that one I don’t have a thing for it. Why am I getting the charge without a product and without knowing? How did it get in there during a self checkout. Krogers self checkout machine has something sneaky.

The self checkout always has a long line to the back of the store. They literally have 3 out of the 20 self checkout registers open. It makes no sense to upgrade the store for efficiency if you’re not going to utilize it. Such an awful customer experience to wait in a long line with 2 items in hand.

Never enough checkers. When you do your own checkout, prices don’t ting correctly then machines have no cash and you have to stand and wait over 15 min for someone to give your cash to you. Meanwhile your refrigerated items are spoiling.
