Came here after another location was closed for software update, when I called it said this location was closed and the google page and Banfield website says open at 8am so I drove there. When I got there the door had a posted sign that said open at 9am and it was 9:22 the doors where locked and lights off.

I am here at 9.20 AM on Sunday, it's closed. Although the opening time clearly says it should be open. There are multiple cars waiting in the parking lot for the clinic to open.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after what we went through with Banfield Animal Clinic, I feel compelled to share our experience as a serious word of caution, in the hopes that no one else will have to endure the pain we did.
We had trusted Banfield to care for our 3.5-year-old Weimaraner. He was neutered here, and while the surgery itself seemed to go fine, it struck me as strange that no one ever looked at his stitches in person afterward. Thankfully, he healed well enough, but I should have seen that as a red flag. Months later, he developed a cough, and they immediately assumed it was kennel cough because he goes to daycare. Without listening to his lungs, without laying eyes on him, they prescribed a laundry list of medications. We weren’t even allowed inside, because of the how contagious kennel cough can be.
When it came time to check up on him, they still wouldn’t examine him physically but pushed for blood tests, x-rays, and even more meds, still without laying eyes on him. When we asked to come inside and talk in person, they hesitated but let us in and immediately sent us into a room where they pushed these expensive treatments. These meds tore up his stomach so badly that he began throwing up blood. Despite our concerns about the sheer volume of medications, they just prescribed more, ignoring what we were telling them. When the x-rays came back, a different vet—who hadn’t even seen the actual images—said everything was “normal.” But when I checked his online portal, the x-rays were labeled “abnormal.” When I pressed the issue, they told me it was just a “misclick” and that I couldn’t see the x-rays because a third party analyzes them.
A few days later, after seeing no improvement, I called again, only to be met with more prescriptions instead of bringing him in to examine him properly. Three days later, we were at a local animal emergency hospital doing more x-rays, where we found out the unthinkable—our dog had congestive heart failure, and there was nothing we could do. We lost him that night.
Through all of this, we never saw the same vet twice. Every visit, we had to explain his condition all over again, like they hadn’t bothered to read his chart, or worse, just didn’t care. His care was disjointed, and in the end, it felt like no one was paying attention while his health was rapidly declining and honestly, felt like they were just trying to make money. What makes it even worse is that after losing him, we’re still being forced to pay off the remainder of the wellness plan contract just to cancel it. Not a single vet involved in his so-called "care" has reached out to offer any condolences or even an apology.
This experience has been absolutely traumatic, and I urge anyone considering Banfield to think twice. They failed our dog in the worst way, and I wouldn’t wish this pain and anger on anyone.

We lost our doggie today. She was on the Banfield plan for 14 years. The team here did everything they could to prolong her life, but God had other plans. I am grateful for the compassion displayed by Dr. Kabiri, Nick, Sissy and all the vet techs who spent their afternoon trying to heal and revive our little poodle Gogi. We are thankful for all you do.

Been to this Banfield twice and it is the slowest vet I’ve ever been to. The first visit a few months ago my dog and me were in the room for over 2 hours for a minor GI issue. Today I went and sat in the exam room fkr 30 minutes l, saw that the extreme wait times are a pattern, and left. Never going back.

Stacey is the best vet tech ever. I have been coming to Banfield since I moved to Texas. My pup is a diabetic and she took such great care of my pup. Requesting her all the time now. This Banfield has great doctors and staff, i drive from Mckinney to this one because of the people. Sissy is always on top of things and couldn’t ask for anything better for my pup.
Thank you Banfield staff
