This place deserves a zero-star rating due to the deplorable verbal abuse my child endured at the hands of one of its Coaches. During a one-hour session, the Coach displayed intimidating behavior, constant yelling, and humiliation of the kids created a hostile environment. The children were too afraid to make mistakes. As a former teacher and a mother of five, including collegiate-level athletes, I strongly advise against enrolling your child in this program. The coaching quality is far from acceptable, and the passive-aggressive behavior of the female coach who didn't coach my child adds to the negative experience.

This place deserves zero stars. I will not ever recommend this program to ANYONE! The coach was consistently late to every game. There were several games that were started without her. The sheer lack of communication between the admins/coach and the parents is astounding. Everything was scheduled very last minute and most of the time needed clarification on when the practice/games were actually scheduled. Not only was the miscommunication and tardiness a problem they make up their own game rules! I played several years and have coached recreational volleyball for the ISDs and I have never heard of a serve hitting the net and falling on the appropriate side as out. DO NOT sign your daughter up for this program. It’s ridiculous.

Worst tournament parking of any NTR facility. The lack of nets between courts leads to many jump balls because of balls crossing courts during games. Extremely crowded with limited seating. Not enough room for the number of people necessary for a tournament. Spectators aren't allowed to bring in chairs.

I am a player at Lonestar, I personally love the facility! They may not be perfect but the staff and people that work there try their best. I have the best coach in the world (Jacob Hanan) it has truly been the best 4 years of playing volleyball ever.

Lonestar has been a great place to play volleyball for my girls. They focus on sound techniques and are committed to showing the girls the proper way to play the game.

I meant to post this review last week after speaking so some woman about my daughters needs and i was so upset i honestly can’t remember the name. The employees here literally do not care about you or your child. And if you try to care they will get in your face about it and basically tell you it’s your fault. My daughter needs a little extra assistance and when...it actually hurts to even get into the details so all I will say is if you have any issues with anyone that works there, you will be portrayed as a monster and as someone who is not of any importance. I post this review with a heavy heart. Please be careful when joining this club.

LoneStar has failed to meet our expectations over and over again. I will detail them below. Complaint #1: During a game, a rule was called into question, and the owner of LoneStar was our referee. Our coach politely asked to reference the rule book. The owner/ref’s response was that, “she wrote the rule book and that the call would stand.” She offered for us to object to the call for a $50 fee. We declined this offer, because we knew it wouldn’t do any good. Days later, the owner/ref emailed our coach and admitted that our coach was correct after all. This was super frustrating for our coach and our team. Complaint #2: LoneStar does NOT have ICE on site for injuries. Let me repeat. LoneStar does NOT have ICE on site for injuries. I cannot even begin to understand how a sports facility wouldn’t offer ice to their players for injuries. My daughter fell at LoneStar and instead of ice, they tossed me a gel pack (that was cool at best) with a handful of gel beads inside. I was furious. The staff was rude and completely not helpful. How can a sporting facility operate in good faith without offering ice? Complaint #3: After finishing up an entire season of volleyball, it was tournament day. After the first round, our team was incorrectly placed into the Silver bracket. Our team was supposed to be in the Gold bracket. Once again, no apologies from the owner. It was just an “oops,” the games have already begun, so there’s nothing we can do. Instead of our girls having a chance to place first, fifth place was the very best that we could come away with. This was NOT fair to our girls. I understand that mistakes happen, but no apology or possible alternative was offered. Once again LoneStar fails. Complaint #4: Instead of practicing at the LoneStar facilities, our team was placed at Staley Middle School. These courts are NOT even the correct length to practice on. How are our girls supposed to practice serving on a court that is too short in length? LoneStar has failed miserably again. They’ve failed in complying with basic rules of the game. They’ve failed at providing kind and attentive management. They’ve failed in providing basic needs at a sporting facility. They’ve failed in compiling scores for the end of season tournament brackets. And they’ve also failed in providing our team with a volleyball court that is of correct regulation size. It seems to me that LoneStar has gotten NOTHING right and has PLENTY to improve upon. We won’t be returning.

Fall from grace. Great program at one time. There’s so much potential, but either management or coaches did not follow through and take care of their players.
