I have been using online tax services for years, but since 2024, Nick Shifflett has taken care of my taxes. I wish I had known him way earlier!!! Nick Shifflett, Matthew Viles, and their team are superb in every way, and I couldn't be happier. Very professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, up-to-date, with timely follow-up! Whatever questions I had, they answered with a very detailed explanation & guided me amazingly. Most of all, they saved me a huge tax!!! My scary tax season of April became a relief this year with significantly lower tax dues! I am very grateful for their expertise!

One of the best decisions I've made! My previous CPA told me I'd owe between $30-40K in capital gains tax. I have known Nick Shifflett for many years and decided to switch prior to the 2024 tax season. From our first meeting I felt like I was in the right hands with him and his team. They are not only tax filers, but tax analysts and strategists. They are super gifted at what they do!
After switching to Nick, I ended up paying barely anything to the IRS due to their knowledge and strategy. I'll forever be grateful, and i'm glad I can feel like I have the right team behind me.

Our discontent has to do with multiple issues. First, I requested for our filing to be evaluated MFS versus MFJ since I knew that my student loan repayment would be starting this year and it was crucial for me to get my tax returns file timely. Yet, the firm failed to prepare the MFS as requested and only MFJ was prepared a few days before the deadline of April.Further, no one was replying to my multiple follow up inquires. Then, there was a TSP issue happened, past the IRS deadline and my tax filing was delayed because of it. I understand that this things happen and I did not want to make a big deal out of it and I went ahead and paid the difference to IRS/with potential penalties.Lastly I had to follow up (again) we would had not know that there was an issue with my tax return Due to to error, I have to remit payment to the IRS directly and most likely will have further penalties, once again.The Firm lack of communication and poor customer service is so disappointing since they did not notify me that my e-filing was rejected until I inquired 5 weeks after since nothing was posted in the IRS website. If I had not inquired, no one would had follows up. Still, the Firm requested for us to pay the full amount as if services were completed timely and efficiently, although this was not the case.After I explain my frustrations the firm no longer reply and instead requested the full payment amount.I plan to submit a formal complaint about this Firm to the IRS and BBB.

Wouldn’t set appt because I wanted to wait to send my taxes from last year before I tell him what I needed. Customer service was a zero when I called and I feel they really don’t want new clients.
