I just moved her and have been searching for someone to get my nails done. I came across Sophia's Salon. So I texted her to make the appointment and I met Sophia today for my first time and I did really like her and her work. She did a very great job on my hand, and my brown wax. She is very sweet little one, she really took her time to take care of me. I will definitely comeback to see her again.

What a wonderful experience. I got dip nails and gel toes and not only did they turn out beautifully but Sophia’s customer service was amazing. Very friendly and respectful. I chose visit this nail salon based on the reviews. I have done my nails ever since I was a young girl but as I have gotten older it is harder to do them and I needed to find a professional nail salon. However, I did not have a good experience. Usually when you leave a salon you feel better than when you went in. It was not so for this place. When I looked on Yelp and on other websites I realized all the reviews are old. Some of them are seven or eight years old. They are also from a different location in a different town. Therefore, I thought I should write a review about my experience. Even from the time I walked in, Sophia was not very friendly and not understanding about it being my first time in a salon to have my nails done. I did not feel welcome. She accused me of not knowing what I wanted done and changing my mind. She was clearly annoyed by me. However, every review talked about how sweet, talkative, and kind she was to them. She was none of those things to me even though I tried to ask questions in order to get to know her and the salon. I had every intention of making this my new nail salon. I instead got the impression that she didn't need me or want me as a customer. Maybe she felt like she has enough customers. Even though I have done my own nails for decades and understood the terminology, she and I seemed to have a communication problem. I think she just chose to ignore what I asked for and wanted instead to do what she wanted. I think part of the problem was because she didn't have a lot of nail supply variety and nail color. I don't understand how we had a communication problem because we texted back and forth together the night before my appointment. When she answered my text she seemed to understand what I wanted. I had to explain to her that I had never had my nails professionally done. I also took in a picture of what I wanted her to do to my nails. Since I had explained to her exactly what I wanted done and also had a picture, she should have known before hand if I needed a longer appointment time. (My nails were for a wedding). However, when I got in there she acted like I was the one not understanding her and not being clear about what I wanted. She also accused me of changing what I wanted. Since most of these reviews talk about how kind and friendly she is, that is what I was expecting. She is now in The Colony, in a salon, from what I gather that is much smaller than the old one. She also has a very small offering of nail colors, and the quality of some of them is old and they have deteriorated. I was disappointed because the pictures showed a lot of paint colors and when I got there it was a very small sample. None of the pictures online matched the current location. She did a fairly decent job on my nails, although one was extremely crooked and they were longer than what I asked for and wanted. I wanted a design painted on my ring finger and she did a nice job on it. Although, she charged me a lot for it. Just for a manicure, it cost me $92. When it was my time to pay, my debit card would not work, and she chewed me out because I did not have enough cash in my wallet. I had to call my husband and have him bring me some money. I tried his debit card and it did not work. I find this a little suspicious because both of our cards worked before and after leaving her salon. While I sat out in the hall waiting for my husband to bring cash, I watched her talk badly about me to the next customer. I left her about a 30% tip which I would not I have done except before she tried to run my card I told her the tip amount. I especially loved it when I watched her talk about me, while pointing at me through the window, to her next customer. After these events, I decided to visit the number two rated salon in The Colony the next time I wanted my nails done for comparison. I was treated much better and also my nails were done better as well. I had this salon repeat what Sophia had done and they did a better job. Everyone is right about Sophia! She's indeed a terrific gal! Had a Gel Manicure done and she did a awesome job and NO BUMPS after applying the Gel polish. She also did a great job on my cuticles, no cuts at all. Her shop is very speculative clean and pleasant. I made my next appointment with her for another Gel Manicure and Full Facial Wax. You won't regret going to her!! Glad I took a chance on her!

Sofia does an amazing job and is one of the sweetest people I know. She's been doing my pedicures for years. I'm very picky so I don't like to just go anywhere. I go to her because she's one on one, she has a suite in a salon. She really takes great care and you really feel good afterwards. I was scared to get my nails done because of the virus but I felt comfortable going to her. There's no other people in the room, it's impeccably clean, there's plexiglass dividers, she wears a mask and you wear one too. My feet look so much better and I feel normal again. 5 stars all the way. I usually text her to make appointments
