TrainTopia in the Frisco Discovery Center is a great travel back in time experience and an amazing experience for those that love trains. The indoor display is perfection, featuring very detailed model train layouts with O and G scale trains, plus different dioramas. The space is very large with 6-10 trains running at the same time all over the different layouts around a huge landscape model. It is interesting with fun scavenger hunt lists to explore the whole room. Outside, there are many spectacular locomotive steam and diesel trains to see, including a famed Big Boy locomotive. The walking tour is highly recommended, with very knowledgeable and fun guides. The museum is continually getting better with incredible restoration of trains. It is wonderful sweet family fun, highly recommended for children and adults who love model trains. Train fans young and old will not be disappointed. The staff and volunteers are SUPER friendly, patient, encouraging, and very knowledgeable, interacting with every guest. Visitors can easily spend several hours here and will probably see something new every visit.

Model train sets are amazing, loved the tour through the train yard outside. We'll be back to see all the additions they'll do in the future.

If you are in the area and you like trains, dont skip this place. If you are in to model trains they have a great G scale indoor layout with some interesting history. They wer working on an O guage set last time I visited. If you are into the real stuff that have a very nice collection out on the yard.
