Leonard Park is a very cool wooden structure park with an enormous wooden playground. It features three or four play structures, with a separate structure for littles. The whole play area is enclosed by a fence for safety. There is a huge play area with plenty of stuff to keep kids busy, and it is considered safe for children. The park offers lots of green space and is nicely shaded with plenty of tall trees. For picnics, there are picnic tables nearby and a large covered pavilion area with a stage, which is shaded and has a plug-in. There are also several benches throughout the park. The picnic areas are described as awesome and clean, with plenty of garbage cans. A popular feature is the mini train that runs around the park and through the nearby zoo. The park is walking distance from the zoo and a public pool. Restrooms are located inside the zoo, requiring a ticket, or are available at the public pool or across the street. The restrooms are noted as clean and well-stocked, though they are on the other side of the park. The park is very clean, with lots of shade, and is a great spot for family fun.
AMAZING playground!!! So nice for a road trip stop with littles. Just a heads up to avoid disappointing little ones lol—the train rides are cash only! We learned the hard way 🥺
