“This place is absolutely amazing! Came in with concerns and left feeling so at ease! Chris explained everything going on and even showed me my vehicle and concerns while on the lift😔. My mother comes here alot as well and sent me over here. Place is very clean but COLD lol so bring a sweater if you suffer quickly from that lol. Workers here are definitely on the job! Trust them to be honest and steer me in the right direction❤👌🏾”
“My experience with PSP diesel began after I had my truck at another shop, at which the owner had passed away, leaving the engine pulled and left down to bare block with parts misplaced.
PSP came highly recommended and after speaking to Richard about the situation, he was confident that this was a job that he and his team could handle.
Moving forward the whole process was made simple. I asked for the most reliable and hassle free outcome and I quickly received an itemized list of parts and services needed for that goal. I approved the work and quickly had my truck back running better than ever.
Not only was the work done swiftly I could see why they came so renowned, from the ease of communication throughout the whole proccess to little things like the fitment of CAC pipes and clamps installed parrallell to nicely tucked wiring, everything was put back together cleanly with attention to detail in mind even resolving some other minor unknown/undiscussed issues. which after using numerous sub par shops over the years, really reassured that i had FINALLY found a good shop i could trust and rely on, and having been a repeat customer for my other vehicles and even performance modifications, the great team at PSP continue to deliver integrity and exceptional workmanship. I would now also HIGHLY recommend PSP automotive, These guys really know their stuff across all platforms.”
“Update: Visiting again in 09/2026 and they are still just as kind, professional, and pay attention to detail. 10/10
Wow! Where to start... I had the pleasure of visiting this location after the company I've been loyal to for years was very rude to me. I drove to Houston specifically to have them service my vehicle only to be told I needed an appointment for an oil change. I left and found Discount Inspection & Brake through a quick Google search.
This location is 2 minutes from me in Pasadena, and I am happy to have found such wonderful people close to home.
They were extremely thorough, patient, and willing to teach someone with no knowledge of vehicles the basics.
I went in for an oil change and left with peace of mind. They checked my filters, my skid plate was hanging and they did their best to assist, and they let me know I needed tires and brakes. One of the gentlemen even showed me how to replace my cabin air filter myself.
My previous mechanic never mentioned any of these issues.
I was highly satisfied with their service and I will be recommending them to family and friends for future reference.”
“Wes the service manager was great, the young man working the counter was too. Very personable. Didn't take me long, and they answered all of my questions. Have some more work that needs to get done and will be going there for that too.”
“I’ve been going to this shop regularly for years now and I will never go anywhere else again. As a young woman it can be difficult to find trustworthy mechanics who care more about helping than just getting a check but I’ve definitely found that here. Thank you guys so much for helping me and my car💖”
“Took my vehicle to them under warranty and work was done quickly and they were communicating with me throughout the whole entire process . Second time I’ve brought my vehicle for maintenance with them and will continue to bring it to this shop . Great service and efficiency at a great price , staff is very friendly and helpful and worked around my work schedule for drop off and picking up . 100% recommend and always recommend this auto shop to friends and family !”

“EDIT/UPDATE: Bartuning is still doing great work for my family taking care of our European car maintenance. Mike and his guys have worked on our cars (Audi, VW, BMW) for over 20 years and they've always been honest, affordable, and flexible.
Mike has been taking care of my 2000 Audi TT off and on for almost 20 years. It's off and on only because his shop on the South side isn't particularly convenient to my home in North Houston. I've tried other shops, but none compare to the value and honesty I get at BARTuning. It's worth the trip.”
“Going to the mechanic, as a woman, sometimes feels like a hassle, but Fred left me in awe of his knowledge, kindness and workmanship.
He fixed a issue that i thought would take a while in under 20 minutes with transparency too.
I highly recommend Auto Best Houston.”
“Service and professionalism from the time you walk in front door until your pulling of property is absolutely the best experience always.,Thanks to the entire team”
“2012 Ford Transit transmission rebuilt in a couple of weeks. Referred by a friend and it was just what I needed. Towed to the shop, diagnosed in a few days. Polite professional service. Still running great after 5 years”
“I did not have a bad experience at National Transmission. As a matter of fact I had not so bad experience. The personal was friendly. And the fact that I didn't have an appointment made it even better. I dropped in on somebody's birthday 🎂 🥳
And received a nice piece of cake. Can't beat that with a stick”
“I had a great experience getting my brakes changed here. The pricing was very reasonable. The job was done efficiently, and everything feels perfect now. It’s hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but this is definitely one of them. Highly recommend!”
“This place is awesome. Brian and his crew took good care of my family. He shared pictures through the process and explained everything very well. Remember, the cheapest isn't always the best and the best isn't always the cheapest.”
“I highly recommend this shop! Mr. Mike is very honest and transparent from the 1st day I called to inquire about pricing for my Nissan Maxima, to finishing my car up in two days! I was shocked. He gave me a timeframe and followed through exactly as he said. I purchased my own transmission from Transtar, although he warned me what could potentially happen he still installed it for me at an affordable rate that didn’t change. He also calibrated the transmission for me so I wouldn’t have to spend additional money at the dealership for my warranty to be valid. He’s a honest man. To the women who needs a trustworthy mechanic I’m telling you go to Mike! He’s not going to take advantage of you.
Definitely will be doing business with him again! Thank you so much.
Kambreyn.”
“First of all...Ton...(Owner) Exceeded expectations........went above and beyond at a seconds notice to help me get a vehicle towed in and repaired..so I can give this truck to my son by Christmas..had it done in 3 days...Great work...more than reasonable on price...as a former General Motors Master Technician who's too old to roll around on the ground and wrestle a transmission in and out of a vehicle...I can tell you for a fact. Ton and his crew went above and beyond the call of duty....this crew is Excellent.....!!!
Exceptional Service..!!!... Highly recommend...Trustworthy....Excellent work....”
“Man first time trying these guys out and when I tell you they got it down they really got it down I was talking with the owner baby brother I think really solid guy he kept me updated and even sent me pics of the progress. These guys have quick turnaround times and I’d definitely recommend to the next person”
“? ? Cindy is the best this man will get you in an out the same day.And very honest on everything. So please don't waste his time because he have people waiting in line for quality@ responsible guarantee work

“Love theses ppl. Both of there shops in Pearland are great. If u are a person that needs to discuss what u think and feel this place is the best. They listen and don't make u feel like your an annoyance to them. They will take u back and literally show u certain things that are or could be a problem. I'm a person who does my own work.....shops can be expensive also Ive always felt like I don't trust what they are doing but cruz n carz I do at this point. If I ever decide to not want to do my own work or can't this place is where I'm going. ❤ They are also very quick and efficient. Again if and when I need a shop I will go no where else.”
“A friend of mine told me about Ken's auto service and I'm so glad she did. I took my car to Ken for service and hoping that, I would be able to afford the repairs. I was really surprised after he fixed my car and told me the cost of his service. This is the first time I have met an honest and great mechanic. Thank, God they're still good people in the world. Blessings to Ken and family.
Thank you, so much.”
“Brought in my 1968 Chevy Camaro’s transmission for rebuild great service on point with communicating with updates great pricing very friendly and very honest will definitely keep doing business with Transtar Transmission”
“Cossio's Motor Service has been my go to for 20 years. Their prices are fair (no price gouging) as you find at other service companies. The service is excellent and professional and; George the owner, has gone over and above for me so many times. I can't say enough good things about Cossio's Motor Services. They are the best of the best!”
“Have brought multiple vehicles to Daniel and have never had issues. Very knowledgeable and goes into depth when it comes to questions you may have and to giving to a proper answer. Would highly recommend bringing your vehicle to DNA for your transmission needs.”
“I first called the shop and talked to a really nice guy name. Anthony expressed my concerns for my 2024 Prius trunk not opening. He said to come on in and they would take a look at it when I got there an awesome gentleman named John took time out of his day to help me figure the issue out. He was super helpful and I highly recommend this place and these guys they do a great job and the customer service is outstanding!”
“Mr David is my go to for all my older Pete’s i run in my business. For years as a young trucking company owner i have gained knowledge about diffs and transmissions from him.
Recently i had a transmission and an old ds402 go out on me at the same time. Mr David understood i needed to get back to earning due to both of these problems. He not only was able to get me a new reman trans quick but was able to get me a diff as well so that i could get back on the road to keep my business going. David’s truck parts is not just a business, but they care about there customers, and have compassion for your situation. They will forever be my place for all differential and transmission needs.
Thanks David’s trucks parts you guys are the best in the business”
“These guys are a.solid bet. They are not perfect, but none of us are. But they have always treated me with respect, and have been honest and straight-forward. And their pricing is so fair, it'll spoil you. Thanks to JC, and Jodie, and their growing team.....you're gonna need a bigger shop!”
“Very good customer service, We did rebuild a Cat 3126 and it last 400,000's miles as it is the average they will last, very good build, updating this review after 5 years later”
