It's a great location between the fun pier and the cruise terminal. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you have what you need, and get back and forth to the terminal in time. And the breakfasts are restaurant quality, which you don't find in most B&B's...

It was our honeymoon/dating anniversary and these two were amazing! They reached out when we reserved to make sure all questions were answered. The most awesome part was being mindful of our food needs. My husband and I both have things we have to be careful with and this team took extra care to ensure we were good before our cruise! Loved every moment in this B&B, looking forward to visiting again, soon!Rooms: Perfect for our needs!Walkability: Plenty of stuff to explore in the area, especially the beach.Be mindful, if you have mobility issues, this might not be the space for you due to the stairs to the rooms. ?Food & drinks: Amaze! That breakfast each morning was remarkable. I'm super picky about breakfast, totally prefer a more "fancy" breakfast and this place met that need!

Avenue O is everything you want from a bed and breakfast, with the cutest house, the most delicious food, beautiful grounds, extremely friendly and hospitable hosts, and super comfortable rooms. Polly and Jeff made our vacation so relaxing and wonderful, and we learned a lot about Galveston history while being extremely well-fed the entire time (be sure to order a pizza!) It was the perfect place for a relaxing beach-side vacation, with the beach and the Strand both extremely close by. Definitely worth a visit (or a revisit)!

Literally want to shout the praises of these amazing owners. Have thought of everything you could want or need. This is one of those places I think everyone should experience. Immediately feel like family. The backyard, the wonderful shower, the sheets, mattress I could go on. This one is paradise if you go anywhere else you are missing out. Thank you Polly and Jeff we hope to be back and will for sure recommend you to anyone going to Texas.❤️

We are so grateful we booked Avenue O for our Honeymoon! The room was impeccable and very comfortable with that just made it home feeling! We ordered the chocolate covered strawberries and champagne package for our arrival and it was so delicious and refreshing! Homemade too!In the morning we came downstairs to delicious smells of breakfast cooking and my husband and I took a seat at the dining room table where we were served with the other guests. It was a treat to sit with other lovely couples and travelers and have great conversation! We will surely be back for our anniversary! We highly recommend Avenue O!

I adore this B&B. The owner/hosts are wonderful folks. We stayed twice and can't wait to see them next year. The rooms are beautifully done, and the whole house is 1920s elegant. Beautiful gardens to enjoy your morning coffee or evening nightcap. The gourmet breakfast is worth every calorie.Rooms: All the rooms are very tastefully done. Quality bedding, we always have the best night sleep.

My wife and I had a three night stay this July. Polly and Jeff were great hosts! I enjoy a large, delicious breakfast and Polly did not disappoint. My favorite items where the German pancakes and fresh fruit with lime and ginger. Jeff is a great conversationalist and can share facts about the history of Galveston, attractions, and things to do around town. The room was nice and included a mini-fridge, microwave, and dependable wi-fi. Each morning, our hosts asked if anything needed to be refreshed in our room, which was very appreciated. I would recommend Avenue O B&B to anyone staying in Galveston looking for great hospitality.

Jeff and Polly were fantastic hosts. Their recommendations for anything you need or want to experience in Galveston are spot on. Whether you're looking for great places to eat or exciting things to do, they are the perfect people to ask.The location of the bed and breakfast is amazing. One of the great advantages of staying at a bed and breakfast is being able to avoid the massive crowds of tourists. Here, you are only a few blocks away from Pleasure Pier and lots of excellent dining, while also getting the luxury of being on a street that isn't high traffic. The rooms are wonderful. They have split units that effectively keep you cool in the Texas heat. The addition of ceiling fans, blackout curtains, and walls that aren't paper thin sets this place apart from hotel chains. You'll enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay here.Sometimes, the "breakfast" portion of a bed and breakfast can be hit or miss. However, at Avenue O, it was a homerun. I was so impressed that I only managed to capture a picture of the breakfast banana split because I couldn't resist digging in before taking a photo of the main course. If you're planning a trip to Galveston, I can't think of a reason why you would stay anywhere else. Unless, of course, Avenue O is fully booked.Noteworthy details: If you are cruising out of Galveston then Avenue O is an incredible option. They will taxi you to and from the port, they offer curbside drop off and pick up, and they allow you to park at their location while you're out to sea. Take the cost of parking at the nearby port and subtract that from the cost of your room here.

Avenue O ReviewThis place is AMAZING! Where to begin. First off, it is run by a sweet couple Polly & Jeff who are both are warm and inviting and just the nicest people. Their new renovations to the rooms since taking it over are cozy and beautiful. Plenty of sheets, towels, alternate thickness pillows, robes, and even a yoga mat were in our room. We also never heard anyone next door to us, so there must be some serious soundproofing between the rooms. But that’s not the most astounding part. My wife has CRAZY food allergies (milk, wheat, rice just to name a few). Polly took it as a challenge to make sure my wife had something to eat. She went beyond our expectations. My wife was full from the breakfast table every morning with bacon, rosemary potatoes, and special bread my wife could eat. Not to mention the fruit compote with special yogurt and whip cream. Polly made special snacks MY WIFE COULD EAT! I’m not sure I can get across how absolutely incredible this is as even restaurants have a hard time not having my wife react. Polly, in my opinion, is a master craftsman at her job as all of the guests had delicious food.*Also, they do free cruise parking and take you to your cruise line departure if you happen to be looking for pre/post-cruise accommodations. They are 5 or less minutes away from downtown with great shopping and about 5 minutes from the beach/pier, too. If we could give them 10 stars we would give them 11.We will definitely be coming back.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable, with great service. Polly and Jeff were quick to help us with whatever we needed. The food was fantastic, too. You can tell they both really care about your experience staying here.

Polly and Jeff are the best. Great host, that really care about your stay at their place, but your overall experience in Galveston. We were lucky enough to stay in the Seawall Suite, which was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and always had their personal touch. The personal hand-made pizza hands down was one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The evening sweet treats were also a delight. If you are looking for a great place to stay with a couple that takes pride in everything they do, you will not be disappointed in the Avanue O Bed and Breakfast.. and if you forgot something, I bet they have an extra..

Jeff and Polly were friendly hosts. We appreciated all the little details they planned like providing tea and bathrobes to make the stay more special. Breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated how they were sensitive to dietary restrictions when cooking for us! The yard was lovely and full of various trees and plants that made for a scenic stay.
