Lori is the absolutely best if you want a style that works for you. She has the ability to make your hair style not only look great for your hair type, but to also continue to look great while it grows out. I missed her so much when I moved, I couldn't find anyone with skills even close to her abilities. Finally, I travelled to see her and get that great cut again. Truly the best! Lori is the Best! Not only did she tame my frizzy hair, but she took the time to teach me how to do it myself! My color and highlights look completely natural. I Always got many compliments on my hair! Always great conversations. I was sad when she moved from California to Texas. Even after all these years, I have not found Anyone who is as good as Lori!! Lori is awesome!!! I moved to the Galveston area dreading the idea of finding my new hair person since the search can be such a pain. Thankfully I found Hair on Q and it has been great. She has always been very professional, knowledgeable, and respectful during our sessions. I started having some hair loss problems, and she passed on a lot of useful info that has really helped to understand what I can do/try. Lastly, even after onset of hair loss, all my cuts have been excellent and I usually get complimented on them. Total gem! Don't hesitate to try her out!

I travel extensively and back in 2018, I just happened to be in Galveston, Texas and in desperate need of a haircut. I called a couple of stylists but didn't feel comfortable with their responses to a few questions I had. The minute I started talking to Lori, I knew she was the one. She was very responsive and knew exactly what I was asking for. I now made a point of seeing her everytime I am in Galveston. She does beautiful work and my hair and I trust her completely. On a side note, she is an extremely caring person. She doesn't hesitate to help others and get involved where others would walk away. I have the utmost respect for her as not only a stylist but more importantly, as a person.Services: Haircut

A.MAZ.ING!! My hair was ROUGH when I brought it to Lori. 2+ years without a haircut, add to that the stress of 2020, and . A base cut includes shampoo + conditioner & blow-dry. I came in knowing I just needed a trim & Lori's suggestions on a cut that would fit my face was spot on. I love that she not only cut my hair, but is confident and knowledgeable about what suited me, the client. My hair feels incredibly smooth and soft, it looks so much healthier and I feel refreshed. Being the only one in the "salon" was nice too. Individual attention. Lori is easy to talk to and really takes care of and cares about her clients. If you're heading to the island and need a hair salon, Hair On Q is the place! And book in advance because she's in high demand! She is well worth the $$!

I am disappointed to say she is a dishonest person. She used what I suspect is expired (or cheap?) hair dye for my highlights, which came out very botched. She did not acknowledge my concerns when I pointed out why I did not like how it came out, and proceeded to charge me a higher price than she quoted in the beginning. I am sure she knew it came out poorly because she never had a nice thing to say about it as she was drying it - why not just be honest and acknowledge it didn't turn out well? I have two spots that are almost bleached and the rest hardly shows. On top of that, she did not indicate a willingness to fix it when I asked, and now she is not even responding to my text messages. Very disappointing. I was looking for a long term salon but this is definitely not it.

This is my 1st visit to this "hair artist". With absolutely no style to my hair walking in, upon leaving I'd been heard and have a beautifully sculpted cut, very much what I'd requested! Headed back for color next visit - so happy

I love this place. I've lived in Galveston for 2 years, but was traveling back to Houston for cuts. I found Lori in February and had the best cut that I have ever had. I have thick, wavy, course, out of control, old hair and I'm growing out the color. I'm loving my recent shorter cut!

So EXTREMELY happy to found a "HAIR MAGICIAN", I don't care to drive about an hour for my appointment with Lori!, she is an absolute Master Hair Professional!, I feel that the success key for Lori is that she "LISTEN" to her clients and that makes everything runs smoothly!, other factor is that she will refuse to make something you think is cool to your hair, and I love that she is driven by her passion not by money!!
