During one of my first visits to Galveston I frequented a gym nearby out of convenience, while having a particularly intense workout I grunted a bit and was told by the owner that I needed to tone it down. I won't name names but this gym is on the West End. Grunting is NOT an issue at Galveston HardKnoc Gym. As a powerlifter they have all the equipment I could want and you can grunt and sweat to your heart's content.

Have to say am on vacation and found this gem! The nostalgia and variety of equipment is amazing. I literally do not want to leave. Enjoying the time and ability to communicate about getting set up. I come twice a year for a week and I found a home away from home!!!

Amazing gym! No bells and whistles just straight getting to work and pumping iron LITERALLY. Got a week pass for the family vacation and loved the set up. Really great gym!

This gym is amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable and everyone pushes and encourages you to achieve your desired results! THIS is what the Island need! BEST GYM IN GALVESTON!!

If you want a legit hardcore gym this is it. Don't come here expecting the latest and greatest machines and equipment, it's just iron. It's rusty, dirty, no ac, but it's the perfect atmosphere for a lot of lifters including myself.

No contest, coolest gym I've ever been to. Visiting from Canada with my daughter. This place screams the American dream. It's authentic, gritty, raw. Serous lifters who aren't pretentious. You won't find any kale eating anorexic yoga moms in here.The equipment is old, functional a bit worn and rusty. It has everything you need and nothing you don't.Think the polar opposite of Alphalete.The sign says it all."Work harder, no one cares"I absolutely love the vibe.

Great customer service, and has a great variety of workout equipment. Nice and reliable gym that’s open 24 hours. Overall 100% worth it!

This gym is a very cool private gym. It has all the equipment needed to do what you need to do. The aesthetic is cool all around. The owners are extremely kind and helpful.

If you want a great workout , this is the place to be!! The music is sooo good, the staff is so helpful, and the people working out are inspiring - the whole place is a VIBE. This is THE ONLY place to go on the island for a hardcore workout!!
