The place is terrible, do not waste your time here. Staff are woefully incompetent, do not bother making appointments because you will not be seen on time. I asked simple questions about my options for filing for a small business and Sylvia was clueless.
With all of the one star reviews I don't understand why Google is still showing this place as a 4.5 star establishment, clearly it is not.

They were friendly but not knowledgeable at all. I was surprised but I guess these days they are clearly not top tier any more...Edit: Looks like I should have read the reviews first?...Well, I hope the next person does.

I wish I could give a 0. I work for UTMB and was recommending most of my colleagues to do their taxes here, due to past experiences of the staff being kind and affordable. The receptionist was nice but Louis Van Dessel was horrible. I’ve never felt so rushed, overlooked, and cheated. I arrived early @1:30 for a 2:00 appointment. She saw me at 1:57pm All of my documents were organized and ready. She rushed to be done by 2:06pm I felt in my spirit that she filed something incorrectly she scanned through my document so fast. I came in with two tax forms she told to make another appointment with her to file the next one. Like what? She sat with me for about 10 minutes or less and couldn’t file both my forms? I mentioned to her 3 times and showed her two forms. I’m so disappointed. She says my tax is return is $200 and that I’m lucky….. She charged me for $80.00 to do nothing. I’ll be doing an amended tax elsewhere. I always did my taxes here. Never again.

Was not greeted when I walked in and secretary guy acted like I was bothering him by being there. I met with Sylvia, in which to say the least, was a very unpleasant experience. She was condescending, rude and was talking bad about the preparer who had started my taxes. She was slow and acted as if she couldn’t be bothered to do service with me. Neither Silvia OR the secretary bothered to say a goodbye or even a thank you when I left. Horrible service. This was my very first year filing taxes and I Will NOT be going back next year. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Siliva was very clear in her explanations. She was patient and gave us her full attention. I felt confident with her explanations, and appreciated her years ofexpxerience. I hope she will be available to help us with our taxes again next year.
