Stopped in for a pedi and mani and was really spoiled! Great service, nice, peaceful atmosphere, and the young man who greeted and seated me offered me a cold drink. The technicians are all about the customer, I got some extra massage time and my favorite, a sugar scrub! Reasonably priced with excellent services! I will remember this place when I am in Galveston again! Thank you!!

not my favorite spot they kind of screwed me over with the price and they told me how much it costs RIGHT AFTER DOING IT. making gel nail polish cat eye a very expensive price? charging me 15 extra for a “design” using a magnet that you can’t even see. you can’t see the “flower” i asked for a mani peti and got a 95$ bill for gel polish and they continued to paint over it starting over again and again. taking a ridicules amount of time basically charging me for every screw up they did on me.

My favorite place and my favorite people. I drive 100 miles each direction to have my nails done. Yes, that’s crazy but I won’t give up Tammy.
Requested style: Tammy sculpts my nails and does them exactly the way I like them. She does amazing work on my feet and I also get my brows waxed when needed.

I called in to ask a few basic questions about the expertise & skill level of the technician so that I could make an informed decision as to whether to trust my eyebrows being sculpted (either waxing or threaded, prefer threading).
The guy who answered the phone was extremely rude, dismissive and confrontational. It should not be taboo to ask a few questions so that I can feel comfortable with someone at their shop working on my face.
When I asked if I may speak with a manager or if he was one (just so I could at least get my question answered, there’s already limited choices on the island & I was hoping to not have to go into Houston) - all he kept trying to do was set an appointment, and refused to answer my questions or even tell me if he was a manager. The difference for me being if he wasn’t; maybe this is an anomaly. If he is, and he refuses to answer the most basic questions - I will simply pass.
Instead - his negative energy tried to kill my vibe & treated me like I was in the wrong for not just blindly trusting his company. By the way - I’ve been there done that & in the past, I’ve had everything from profusely bleeding to small scars that took treatments to resolve.
As a consumer, it is my right to ask some clarifying questions about their services before booking. I suppose, as a business, it is their right to not answer them or even provide what I would consider the most basic level of common decency, courtesy & customer service to a perspective patron.
Since he was so rude & dismissive; I am compelled to write this review. I’ve just purchased a place on the island & want to make sure I share this experience to help others who may be in the same boat as me, trying to find some solid businesses & services to make their regular spots!!
Specialties: Supposedly eyebrow waxing & eyebrow threading.

Do a great job but prices are really going up. I chose this location as prices were reasonable, now they are just as pricey as all other shops.
Stylist: I use Tammy, she is great. I had a shellac refill, crazy expensive

I received a gift certificate and decided on a pedicure! It was fantastic, the main complaint I had was that for 4 days afterwards my big toe was still very sore bc she had dug and dug and dug an ingrown toenail and made me bleed. Otherwise it was very relaxing!

Best nail salon hands down! High quality service every time, and never rushed out of the chair. The staff always go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable, and you get an awesome ocean view while you get your nails done!

Tammy was my tech. I received a mani, pedi, and brow wax. Very patient and detailed. Tammy explained everything she was doing, which I appreciated. The business was very clean and all staff were smiling and friendly. There was a very positive vibe while sitting there. The lady that did my pedi, sorry I didn't get your name, but she was awesome. It was very hard to stay awake.
I would definitely visit again when in town.

So yesterday, I just finished a long tattoo session on one of my clients, I wanted to treat myself to a pedicure. Immediately after, I did my research and I ended up picking Joy Nails II on the seawall in Galveston. It was one of the few close ones to me. I arrived and there were no cars, so I was thinking to myself, "alright I will be able to walk in today for sure." It is always a tense moment entering a new nail salon for the first time. I just moved to Galveston almost a year ago so I wanted to find my nail lady or at least a salon. I walked in and there was one lady tending to a client and a couple workers sitting back. I had previously typed on my phone: I want a pedi: white polish no cut, just file. And me having a long day, I was hoping to decompress, get my feet soaked for a bit, maybe get offered a drink, something. So first thing when I walked in, all eyes were on me. Only person smiling at me was the client. I put one of my hand up to greet everyone. The woman in the back who was available was wearing a mask so I obviously could not try to read lips. I could see her brows starting to scrunch up and her mask popping fast like a speaker. I pointed at my feet and showed her my phone. She was so mad I made her read because I realized she couldn't understand English which is TOTALLY fine. It happens. She then aggressively pointed at the direction she wanted me to move and after I did, she grabbed my phone from my hand and gave it to the client so she could sound it out for her. After she sounded it out she swatted at me to go away and move over to another chair and mind you, there are like 10 chairs there and she got frustrated and started waving her hands all wild. I sat down, she didn't do any water, sprayed alcohol on my feet and I wasn't even sitting there 5 mins and she was done. She didn't do a bad job but she finished, put the foam shoes on me and rushed me to get up, I was trying to get up and she was acting like I was taking my time. Hah. I almost wanted to laugh because, what. the hell. is this. I got up finally and I started to waddle to the register. She charged me $14 which is fine but I was prepared to pay 30 or something for a full service but honestly I wanted out of there. I paid and left. I still had wet toes so I just turned my ac for the lower part of my seat and thankfully my car had that so I was able to get it dry before I got home. I arrived tense because of a new environment and left tense.
