They told me I could only stay for one night and the don't take in a lot of people who are blind I almost died in the streets in hot weather. It took the help of cops and a socal worker to get me in for the night now I'm in another place but only for a week..

What can I say? What a hard, hard world it is when you don’t have a place to live! My heart breaks for all of these people who are in between where they want to be but the people at the Salvation Army are there to help the resources and programs here in Galveston for the homeless are extraordinary . The people here are so kind and helpful that they don’t even realize how superior they are in regards to helping people get ahead compared to a lot of other states that I have traveled through and made it my business to know what is going on inside the cities.

Pretty good origination that doesn't ask for much but gives so m much. From feeding the homeless two times a day to housing the homeless, recently freed inmates and helping with the mentally ill. They wear many hats and do it well. They don't beat their own drum but somebody should do it for them considering the absolute need they fulfill.

The Salvation Army is a place where one goes with no hope and at the end of your rope. You're given a last boost filled with hope, encouragement and strength to believe in yourself once again. Ready to get back to living a life, your life and become a productive member in society as you once were before. It's taken me 2 tours of homelessness and with someone backing me, believing in me, giving me that last chance, I have become that man again who believes in self and helps others believe that there's a way. Thanks for recruiting me Salvation Army. There's a way. I'm here to testify this by living this. Thank you SALLY
