I promise you the low rating of this post office comes from Michael. This guy, must be tired. So retire him already! He obviously doesn’t care to give any customer service (which is 90%) of his job. I needed one single piece of tape for a package the man MADE me buy a roll of postage tape for $3.99. I paid the $3.99 and put one single piece across my mailing label which was completely unnecessary to buy tape when he slaps on a label from the post office on top. This is likely the 5th time I’ve interacted with this customer service postal clerk. I leave feeling mad he has no care or concern about making postal customer’s days who already don’t want to be at the post office … worse. One piece of tape really? You can’t help with one piece of tape!? I can’t wait for the day for this grouchy old guy to retire, it’s time!

I have had at least two separate encounters with this particular male clerk over the past few years. Each time, he has been consistently rude and completely unhelpful. It's disappointing to experience this kind of service repeatedly.

I have not had mail delivery for 2 months after moving from La Marque to Galveston. Turned in change of address
When checking on status the clerk was rude and not helpful.
Galveston island considered a rural area but this is ridiculous.

I love writing handwritten letters and sending them via snail mail. It adds a personal touch that in our digital age, we're slowly moving away from. I visited this post office to mail a couple of letters. It didn't look like anyone was working today because when I walked in no one, not even a customer was around. But, soon enough, a postman emerged from the back who took his time to assist me.
I needed smaller envelopes which were not located anywhere in the lobby. You'll need to ask for one which they keep behind the counter. The envelopes are a standard size and they are prestamped for your convenience.

Package was handed to them the 7th according to tracking information, 4 days later still out for delivery no updates. Wish the postal service would die as a delivery option, all they succeed in mailing is bills and ads.

Fast and friendly. Parking is free, in front of the building for under 15 minutes.

Jamaica Beach they refuse to deliver to physical addresses and claim that Jamaica Beach addresses do not exist, so unless I know the delivery service merchants are going to use, I may or may not get my package delivered and USPS will return it to sender. In many systems, they refuse to recognize the Jamaica Beach addresses. Jamaica Beach deserves their own USPS office with all physical addresses here recognized. It's unfair discrimination to cause such difficulties to receive mail, especially when you live out on an island, receiving mail in a timely manner is essential.
