Well, this location was no help. They refused to keep a cat. Were trying to save his life because he was stranded or left on the highway. Was told leave it back in the highway we found it!! Heartless people why do you work here!!! Then why the hell would I do that ,makes no sense!!!

Verry terrible!!! They gave me a 3 month old puppy that was sick and didn’t tell me he had kennel cough and scammed me, I had to pay to take my puppy to the vet and they told me he was severely sick and wouldn’t make it since he got ammonia , he was gonna need expensive treatment so I called the adoption center and talked to the supervisor and he said that he wouldn’t help since it wasn’t his problem no more, and for “just to give the puppy antibiotics “ I sadly had to put him to sleep since he was suffering , later the supervisor called me and told me that what could he do to help , he asked me 7 hours later after I had put my puppy to sleep . Very Bad I am very upset that they didn’t help me and lied to me about something so important, how evil of them that’s absolutely disgusting and upsetting of how they wanna seem like thére all nice and stuff because they have rescued pets but no they don’t even treat them well , when I went there was a bunch of poop and pee on there cages . After you leave with an animal it’s apparently none of there business what happens to them or what they were going through , they will do NOTHING if you ask them for help Nothing how disappointing its honestly Disgusting and outrages . I thought they were better but no its just an act don't get fooled people , even the supervisor didn't cate enough to do anything when my puppy was sick.

I recently called in to adopt a kitten (banana). I had been seeing her online for a month before calling to inquire. An appointment for adoption was set & I was on my way to pick her up. Well while in route to get her I receive a call stating “they don’t suggest adoption for her , she aggressive & they cant touch her) need that I remind you iv paid 30$ for a uber and I’m in route. I end up going anyway to see exactly 2 cats in total in the floor. This just shows me you guys do not care for those animals until there getting ready to be adopted. My feeling were so hurt not for myself but for those animals 😞

Garland Animal Shelter is the best animal shelter that I've ever experienced. The volunteers who helped me when I brought home my foster were incredible. I was able to interact with the dog with toys and treats in the large play area. With fostering, all medical expenses were covered, and I had access to the volunteers with any questions. Adopting is easy and only costs $25, but if you want to see if the pet is a fit with your family and other pets, then fostering is an option. However, if you just want to help an animal in need, then fostering is a great option. The dog I fostered was so perfect... smart, loving, and interacted with my dogs really well, so I knew right away that she was a perfect addition to our home. You can go to their website to see what animals are available and their information. I definitely recommend visiting GAS in person!

Clean and odor free facility ! Animals seem to be appropriately cared for. The staff answered my questions accurately! I am still wanting a Coton, Bichon, Westie or Maltese male dog to adopt. He is out there somewhere just for me!
