Went in with my brother at around 11:15 on Aug 19 2025 to have a document notarized. We stood at the “wait here” sign for several minutes, while the SINGLE teller, a young Asian girl, messed around with whatever was on her desk. Then another employee came by, and they chit-chatted for a few minutes, while we continued to stand there, contemplating the importance of customer service in this company’s list of priorities.
Finally, she saw fit to call us forward. We told her we just needed to have our signatures notarized. She then said something that sounded like it was in her native tongue. After 4 tries, we finally discerned that she was trying to tell us that “we don’t notarize that kind of document”. What a load of B.S.! We went across the street and the UPS Store had us in and out in 5 minutes!
You know what, I have been a customer of this institution since the 1970’s, when it was Richardson Credit Union, and they actually CARED about customer service. You know something else? There is still a need for good, old-fashioned bank services. If you can’t, or don’t want to provide simple, basic services, then just go away and be another irrelevant internet bank. You’ve pretty much done that anyway.
Update: The generic, insincere response they posted tells you all you need to know; they just don’t care.

I went i today to open a teen checking account for my son and i was helped by Karen. She is very professional, dedicated, helpful and answered every single questions. I have been helped in the past by her at the same location. All their staff are helpful and very generous and professional. One of the best experience i have ever ha. I love banking with Prosperity bank.

Been with this bank ever since I first started working when I was 18 and never had a problem. Had a horrible experience with the bank manager and the teller today. I went in to cash my paycheck. It was a simple transaction that all the other tellers knew how to do and today it became such an issue. When I asked the teller to cash my check, not only did she not do what I asked but she deposited the entire paycheck into my account. I told her I didn’t want it deposited. I wanted to cash the check because I needed to use the cash to pay my credit card bill at my other bank.It took so long and she had no idea what she was doing and when the bank manager came over, I told her what happened and she became defensive and got mad at me for being upset. Not only that but she said she told the employee not to cash it due to lack of authorization. Lady, this is not your account. It’s my account, you understand??!! It’s MY money that I worked hard to earn and that I’m entrusting you to handle it in the way I needed you to. She initially refused to reverse the transaction saying my funds did not match the amount on the paycheck and that I needed to wait 2 days before coming back. You didn’t take any responsibility for your mistake and now you’re blaming me for being upset. If you had done the transaction like I told you to, we wouldn’t be having this issue. When she finally reversed the transaction, she said she’ll make a one time exception but they won’t be able to do it next time.I withdrew all my money and closed my account. It’s not just this experience but the way it was handled makes me feel there’s no need for me to stay. Taking my business elsewhere. There are plenty of other banks who are doing way better at customer service. Never coming back.

I went to withdraw money at the ATM and as soon as I put my card in, the employee threatened to call the cops on me if I didn't leave. So I couldn't even use the ATM.

I'm very impressed with Sebastian.....He is so good with numbers I mean this guy is just a very smart individual....Great customer service!!!!! Let me tell you the memory this guy has is just Wow that's all I got to say!!!!! Sebastian keep up the good work!!!! Love the way he just smiles and helps out in the lobby.

Sense Prosperity bank has taken over for Legacy Texas, this bank has gone down hill. They stole from my savings account and randomly decline charges on my debit card with no explanation as to why. Customer service can not explain the issue and blame those charging my card. The card has been on file and has not changed. So there is no reason for the declines. The new owners of this bank are crooks. I can’t keep my money here anymore.

We have banked at this location for Many Years, despite the fact that it has been Many different banks.Today My Husband went in to speak with someone about the amount of time it takes for a check ($30,000) to clear.The bank teller looked up his account & then stepped aside to verify with another teller about the amount of time.The 2nd teller never made any effort to look up from what she was doing & answered the question without speaking to My Husband.Does being a loyal, in good standing customer not mean anything any more??We left feeling like we should start looking for another bank that appreciates our business enough to acknowledge Us and have time to address our concerns.

I love prosperity bank, but not this location; Wendy Fuentes is the worst!! I hope she leaves or gets let go soon. I have never met someone so impersonable at a prosperity banking center as her. I have been an account holder almost 20 years.

The bank’s online platform is rudimentary. The customer service has not been helpful. I have had trouble for almost a year putting in money in my CD because every time that supposed day comes along they tell me the wrong date apparently.

This Bank is very bad Bank. The Bank closed My account without notified the account's owner. I don't see how they can be in banking business.

Went in with an issue on an account early in the morning. Waited a few minutes and we were attended by Karen who helped us quickly discover what the issue was and explained how/why it could have happen. We needed to close and then open a new account, which Mark was able to help us with. He explained the process and told us step by step what he was doing and what we would have to do. I was super glad to have Mark there, it's always impossible to find a Spanish speaker at this location. Thankful for both Karen and Mark for helping out.

This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a prosperity bank.Do not go to this location if you want quality customer service or someone who knows what they are doing. Especially if you value your time and need someone to do the same for all your banking needs .
