Good store, lots of craft stuff and other stuff, reasonably able to find what you are lookung for. IF you cant, good luck, because I went in, found what I wanted in a far back corner, walked back to checkout area and saw ZERO store clerks. Additionally they have gone to SELF CHECKOUT.

They have a UPS drop-off here. Fast and easy! The guy even carefully taped up my box for free with a very large amount of tape.

Terrible service, employee would not check me out. I just went to the Michael's in garland. Now, let me preface this by saying I usually love Michael's and have never had a problem with them before. But I went there today to buy 3 packs of seed beads. That's it. There was an employee in the check out area just kind of standing there not appearing to do anything. So I walked up and waited for her to check me out, but after a couple minutes of waiting and her not doing anything I politely asked if she could check me out. She asked me if I was paying cash or card, and I answered card. Then she told me I could use self check out and that she would not check me out. I told her no and that I prefer to have an actual person check me out because it is her job and what she is paid to do. (Whereas I don't support all of the self checkouts replacing and taking away jobs, and I prefer an actual person checking me out where applicable). So a little frustrated I said well it's your job isn't it. And at that she told me that she had other duties AS WELL AS CHECKING PEOPLE OUT. Now I try to be understanding and think of things from others perspectives, but the store was practically empty. I mean the entire time I was in there, I only saw two other customers, and they were together. So I don't see any reason other than laziness for her to have not done her job and checked me out. I was with my mother at the time, and so then she said we would pay cash. And you want to know what this incompetent worker said? She said, and I quote, "I don't feel comfortable". I'm sorry what? You don't feel comfortable doing your job?? Now I would understand if my mother and I were being disrespectful or physical. But no. I am a 16 year old girl, a high-school student. And my mom is almost 60. We obviously aren't very threatening. Especially when I was trying to be as respectful as I could in the moment. I mean I would even encourage management to look at the camera footage. I was so upset that I left without what I came there for. I mean I am a 16 year high school student, and even I know that that kind of behavior is unacceptable in the workplace. Anyways, I used to love Michael's, but now I will not be going back. At least to that location.

Very helpful people when looking for something. But when checking out. The girl seemed put out to have to check me out personally. She kept pushing the self check out. I had to inform her. I didn't work there. It's not my job to check myself out.

Absolutely horrible service. Didn’t catch her name but it was a cashier that seemed pressed for time. She said we can use self checkout when we had approached her register. She was conversing with a colleague and we did not hear this remark and proceeded to say “or not” when we had set a product down on the counter. I guess she thought we didn’t hear this rude comment so she said just kidding when we looked at her. She began ringing us up with attitude and zero positive customer service. We had coupons and fragile items we wanted to be wrapped with paper which is unavailable at self checkout. Very unfortunate to have received this service on Mother’s Day.

The store is clean, however, the yarn supply was lacking my last visit to this store. I'll visit soon again hopefully finding something new to say.

Always enjoy shopping at this store. I appreciate being able to order online using the Michaels app then using the easy and accessible in store pick up feature. My only suggestion would be having more than one person available at checkout. Since the end of the holidays every time I've been to this location there is only one person working the register and a wait of 3 or more shoppers waiting to check out. It would be appreciated by myself as well as other customers to have an employee that is working the floor who could step in as an extra cashier on an as needed basis.

Clean and organized compared to some other Michael's. A great place to get those things you can't wait for Amazon to deliver as long as you don't mind paying about 20 to 40 percent more.
