Came here to mail a package as I do often as this is the closest USPS to my house, & clerk 7, Tony, refused to accept my package. She claimed that media mail was ONLY for books & because I had other items (that still all fall under eligible media mall) she refused my package. Media mail is not ONLY for books. Media mail is for educational items including but NOT limited to books! I had to drive over 30 min to the next open USPS store just to send my package off. When I went back up to the store & spoke to supervisor Chris, he confirmed what I said about books not being the only eligible media mail. Tony refused to come up front to speak to both of us & instead denied everything. She denied telling me media mail was only for books, denied refusing my package & denied trying to force me to repackage all my items with the book in its own packaging. Had she took accountability & came up to speak with me & be honest about all she said, I wouldn’t even be writing this review. It’s not ok to treat people this way & deny them service just b/c you are either not knowledgeable about eligible mail categories, or don’t want to serve people b/c of your own prejudice.

Tip for Walk-Ins: Be there EARLIER than 7:10am!Went to get my passport earlier this week as a walk-in. Dee was lovely and she loves making small talk with you and your family. If anyone is looking at how walk-ins work, you have to be there super early. When I arrived at around 7:10am, a family of 2 and another person were already there. Earliest said they came at 5am and the family came around 6am. I recommend bringing a buddy in case you do get hungry and want to send them on an errand because you will have to wait in the office until 10am.

They say that they take walk ins from 10 to 11 for passport renewal but only help 4 people. I don't understand why? Our US government facilities are not here to assist us.

I’m only writing this review for people seeking to obtain a passport. They have walk in hours for 1 hour at specified locations. This location only accepts the 1st 4 applicants (meaning if there is a family with 4 people and all of them need a passport, that’s all the office will accept for that walk in time). You must have all your documents and if you have an appointment do not be a minute late.

Had an appointment at 2:00 for my sons passport. My husband arrived with him at 2:07 .. while I understand they are on a time lot the employee could have shown a little sympathy/empathy in explaining to me this as i was delayed due to another appointment. Ive worked in customer service for yrs and have never spoken to a customer in that tone. We dont live near by to have driven all the way from dallas just for the hell of it. Please hire more personable people USPS

I have lived in my home 20 years in west garland & the mailman i have now is the worst. Sometimes i dont get mail until 8pm. Im always getting neighbors mail. Please move or get rid of this dude!

We went in to get our 5 month old son his passport. Both women there were super helpful, kind and patient with us! They took his picture there as well. He did have sit up in a chair so not sure what they would do for an infant.

I needed a passport because I lost mine moving to TX. Canceled it and had to start from scratch. Turns out I need to fly to Belgium in Feb for work. So, took a big chance at the high school dance at Garland PO. Well I went 1st time to understand process. Then I was early next day but people's were earlier, so we chatted and they were great. Family and and a guy who has been struggling with the process for months. Anywho, they let me come in as the 4th part B because I had everything prepared! Great people and thankful for Dae!!!! She rocks! Happy holiday season! Received today!

My husband works here and he’s Deaf mailman. It is disheartening to witness the lack of communication, accessibility, and understanding towards Deaf individuals.. I’ve heard the news everyday on how they treated him. With very familiar names that I heard everyday don’t know how to control their anger/attitude towards Deaf individuals. Along with other supervisors who persist in utilizing their voices, exemplify a clear manifestation of ableism. You can’t expect Deaf person to understand any of you when their language is sign language! Get VRI set up or something! Stop using your voice.

We have rented a PO box here for over 16 years now due to the dedicated service of professionals like Juliana and Vince who help resolve problems as quickly as they can given the resources provided against a lack of patience from the general public who has an apathetic attitude towards people of service. These people and ALL mail carriers/professionals are to be commended and we look forward to a continuous relationship with the Garland USPS!

Just moved to Garland and my mailman has left the mailbox open several time in the short time I’ve been here. He just delivered a package but just carelessly dropped it on the porch instead of placing it. It was so loud I heard it from inside the house. Also, since we just moved here we are receiving the old homeowners mail and have been stamping it return to sender, this lazy guy had been ignoring them and letting them stack up and now we have days worth of mail he has been ignoring. I used to deliver packages this laziness is ridiculous.
