Let's talk about the OG of government departments, the one that made it into the U.S. Constitution before all the cool kids like the FBI or the CIA were even a twinkle in Uncle Sam's eye: the Post Office! Clearly, the Founding Fathers understood the true backbone of a nation isn't spies or food safety, it's getting your Aunt Mildred's fruitcake from point A to point B. And bless their powdered wigs for it, because the South Garland Post Office makes that constitutional dream a reality.
I've never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time here, which, in modern life, feels like a minor miracle. The staff are always helpful, probably because they're acutely aware of their direct lineage to the most important document in American history. They're practically living relics, serving up stamps and smiles. So next time you're mailing something, remember: you're not just sending a letter, you're participating in a centuries-old, constitutionally-mandated tradition. And doing it efficiently, thanks to the U.S.P.S!

EXTREMELY RUDE staff. One guy told me I should have lied and cheated on the self service kiosk which I didn’t think was funny. I spent almost ten minutes trying to get the kiosk to measure my box. When it finally did said it was too large. He says “I didn’t even know it did that!” Seriously? How about you offer your assistance and train yourself. Then the second employee whom I was avoiding because of the ratings gave me an unbelievably RUDE ATTITUDE about their payment process. Life is too short to deal with these people. DONT TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS LIKE THEY ARE STUPID. the only reason I gave 2 stars is I am disabled and parking is ample and easy. RUDE STAFF!

Came in at 4:59 pm. Saw as long line so went to the self service machine. It wasn’t working so I went to get in line. They won’t let me get in line because they had just closed. It had just turned 5:00pm. Horrible customer service.

I don't understand. Expecting, tracking and was home all day to receive package only to get informed delivery update this evening saying " no access to delivery location" WHAT? Not raining today, single family house, no pets, driveway, foyer, box (non-obstructed) been here 20years. There shouldn't be any issue making a delivery here. I think it's more like "no effort to deliver item". This location leaves a lot to be desired. A few past experiences line up with others who have left reviews.

Upset that I have not received mail in almost two weeks and not mention I’ve been waiting on a package since the beginning of May. Can’t even get anyone on the phone to ask what’s going on, so over the post office ?

I wish the option to give zero stars was available because this post office needs it! How many more complaints do they need before they do something!!!!The supervisor at this location is HORRIBLE!!! First, I put in a change of address online two weeks prior to my move. I have NOT gotten any of my mail and I had already removed the green vacant card out of the mailbox. They sent my package back to the sender a package I have been waiting on for 1 week and without notification. I had to call and make a case on both incidents. When I called the post office I spoke with the rude nonchalant supervisor who then tells me I need to write my name in the mailbox. I asked why I needed to do this when I completed and was charged online for a change of address and then she says in a monotone rude voice "it's our policy". I said that was nowhere online and how was I supposed to know. Now I'm two weeks post NO MAIL and she is giving me attitude. I pay money for things and I WANT THEM! Then she hurries me off the phone and abruptly hangs up telling me she will take care of it. THIS POST OFFICE IS HORRIBLE!. Mind you, I'm moving from Dallas to Garland and I wish there was a way to bypass this post office when dealing with my mail. How do you drop the ball but then get an attitude with the customer for inquiring about something that is FEDERALLY THEIR's!!!!! GHETTO!!!
