This bank is horrible. All seems good until they allow fraudulent transactions to go through (I wasn’t in Washington DC EVER) and won’t allow legitimate transactions to go through. It’s an employee that’s doing this. I’m going to the police about this! Don’t be scammed like I have been. It’s the bank that’s doing the scamming. I’ll be closing my account.

Experience with Woodforest Bank I visited because I had a problem with the overdraft fees on my account. When I walk into the bank I was greeted by the staff. They were very friendly and professional when they explained what I can do about it. The problem was resolved quickly!!Thank you

They are charging you for debit cards when you don't order one, without your authorization or signature, so they can meet their goals.Used to be good. CEO too greedy.

I went in to open an account due to this being the closest branch with my aunt. The employee who opened my account did not tell my aunt about the fee for getting a debit card. In fact, she told her no fees would be coming out of the deposit, but made no offer to waive the debit card fee after I asked about it. I had to tell my aunt about the debit card fee would be coming out the next business day. When I told them I did not want a debit card, as I would be using the account for ACH processing only, they processed one for my account anyway and charged me, making my account negative.I called into the branch and spoke with someone who I believe identified herself as the same employee who opened the account but I have since been told was not, who told me the fee would be reversed, and even called back later in the day to verify it was put in the system to be cycled out overnight. However, it did not reverse. The employee who did open my account then called me and tried to tell me about the fee and ask me to make a deposit to make my account current. I told her I had already spoken to her about it, and that it was supposed to be reversed as it was never authorized in the first place. She told me she would get with her manager about reversing it, and advised she was not the one who originally spoke to me on the phone. I asked for verification it would be processed as promised the day before, and she responded, "I already said we would waive it. Is there anything else wrong?"I called back after hanging up with her to speak with the manager who advised that he was working on the refund. I did not disclose to him that they signed me up for a debit card without my signature, or had already promised to return the fee.I cannot recommend this branch to anyone looking for a new account. I'm not sure if it's pressure from above or what's going on, but they will be underhanded to try and meet their sales goals, and do not accept accountability for their actions.Not a pleasant experience. Woodforest has really down in quality overall since the founder retired and put a former Bank of America leader in charge, but this entire event reminds me of the banks I came to Woodforest to get away from. Watch your account closely.

I visited the branch on North Garland Avenue in Garland, TX today, inside Walmart at 5:15pm.The bank closes at 6pm.When I arrived, there was only one customer who was being helped by 2 employees, who seemed to be the only employees there. I was in a hurry & wanted to receive Western Union money. I asked the two employees if there was anybody else there to assist me, they replied there was not. I then asked them why they needed to both assist the same customer, instead of helping me, to reduce my wait time, so they both got an attitude, and responded there was only one teller. When the customer left, I told them I was there to receive Western Union money, and they refused to serve me. They told me they had already closed the Western Union system for the day (at 5:15pm when they close at 6pm, right ?), and said they could not help me. They also added that I was rude to them which was a very good reason for them I guess to be rude to me & refuse to serve me. I insisted and pointed out that it was only 5:15 but they continued to refuse to serve me, started arguing with me, talked over me, did not let me speak, raised their voice & engaged in a full blown argument with me, and told me to go next door to Walmart customer service. I told them I would file a complaint, and they told me to "go right ahead !" Not sure who was being rude here..... I went to the Walmart customer service next door, who helped me very quickly, and when I walked passed the bank on my way out, I noticed the short skinny employee wearing glasses make a comment about me & staring at me, with a customer present who they were both helping, the customer turned around & stared at me. I turned around & told them I would go to the BBB & they started arguing with me again as I walked away. Unprofessional, shameful, arrogant little girl behavior. Embarrassing ! If it was up to me, they would not have a job anymore. This will be posted everywhere on social media as well, people will learn about this.

After waiting in traffic arrived at 5:57pm to make a deposit only. The Woman behind the counter told me they were closed in a very loud rude manner. Then she proceeded to ask me questions like "Do you need to make a deposit?"I answered "Yes." She asked me "Is it cash?" I answered "No." She said " You will have to use the night deposit." I've never been treated like that at a financial institution.This place is in Garland! Hire some quality professional people that have customer service experience.
