2 stars for Dr Mabry and Dr Clay. For being reasonably priced vets that don't try to oversell you stuff you don't need.Sadly, after going there with many dogs and cats the past few years and easily leaving 15K or so, this vet hospital has collapsed. They refuse to stop accepting new clients and walk ins, meanwhile you may need to call 20 or 30 times before you get someone on the phone. When you do get one on the phone they are too busy to actually help, even locating a pain medication RX. You can't get an appointment anymore sooner than 10 days+. RX request denied because "the dogs name was not on it" though I come since years, not even a call letting me know. Nothing. A new RX request ignored since 36 hours. My dog is in pain. They want me to drive to Gatesville for a 2 hour round trip rather than returning a fax when I am unable to do so. Vet records I downloaded today are incomplete. Past treatments not on records. The female Vet. Dr Schneider is not likeable and knows everything, though she clearly doesn't know much. Of course she is the fastest vet to get an appointment with, but you might as well not bother. I even went as far as to e-mail Dr Clay personally yesterday afternoon, no response :-( Exceptionally saddened by what this has turned into. But hey, they made the parking lot larger, so twice as many people can wait now.....after all one needs parking for 15 cars with 2 exam rooms......that alone says a lot.To add insult to injury, I received an e-mail a few hours after posting my review, letting me know they now located to RX requests and denied them both "Because Little Bit needs to be seen by a vet for a lower dose". My dog has TUMORS. My dog is crying out in pain. I had an APPOINTMENT for her 5 days later, soonest I could get. They throw carprofen at your dog if they need it or not, but my cancer dog has to be reevaluated before you can give me some carprofen to last until her appointment? What is my dog, some kind of addict? She's freaking full of tumors and has severe Arthritis

I’ve called about 45 times over the past 2 weeks for there to be no answer or they’re currently busy. So I’ve attempted to email them to which I was told I’d get a response and did not. They lack customer service skills, do not seem to care if they have any business and were not educated on how to answer a landline phone or how email works.

The first doctor we visited was amazing! The second one Schneider was not so great! Instead of continuing to put medications in our dog let’s figure out why he constantly has diarrhea! He was given another wormer when his fecal sample was completely clear of parasites the week before and you clearly didn’t take another sample. Obviously the diarrhea is not improving so there are other underlying issues! She also stated my daughter told her that his butt started prolapsing again after he quit taking the steroid twice a day which in fact was NOT what my daughters had told her she just assumed that so she put him on more steroids. Both of my girls told her it just happened today!

Front office staff very incompetent, and new level of lazy. Uncaring about my cat that passed after the vet did what I believe did everything he could. Our staff member went to pick up my cremated cat & carrier. I tried calling for 30 minutes and No one answered the phone. Our staff member called me from her cell phone after arriving, and said, "they cannot find the carrier". I asked to speak to the office manager. "She's in the back". No offer to go get her". So, I asked our staff member to tell the clinic staff to, "go get her". After a while, the office manager "Tonya Oliver" came to the phone. So by now, after being adamate & waiting for a long time, I am angry by now. This is the second bad experience with the front staff. Their avoidance shows bad service. By now, I am sure the young girl whose name is Katelyn (i think) has twisted the first bad experience I had to make herself the victim. I told her she was stupid. She's just uncaring, doesn't want to be there, and just wants a check. This was the review of our staff member that talked to her in person. Katelyn (I think) had the same attitude when she talked to me. Why do I have to beg to talk to someone that know what is going on?Please note, every time our staff member that took the cat to the clinic received a call from the vet about my cat, she told the vet and the front office, she was not the owner and gave them my name and number to call. They would reply, "oh we put the cat under your name". Why could they not make a correction and call the correct person? We do not fill prescriptions for people that bring in scripts for someone else for whatever reason.Just to be clear, I received 1 attempt and message from the vet. When trying to call back, The front office person was rude and uncaring at each interaction. The office manager immediately took up for her staff, then started chewing me out. Remember, I am the customer, the one that owned the cat and paid them. I asked if they could please call me to pick up my cat and crate when he was back from cremation. Katelyn (I think) said, "no, you will have to call us in about 2 weeks". Again, this is unprofessional and a lack of common courtesy. About the create: No offer to look again, or replace it? I asked to speak to the clinic manager. "She's in the back".Trying to get my cat and crate turned into a big deal all because of "he said, she said" and not getting to the bottom of things. Which, was not a problem, until two people that work at the vet clinic made it worse. As of now, I still have not talked the vet about what was wrong with my cat and why he passed, they did not answer the phone for at least 30 minutes, I have been hung up on twice, and they lost my crate. How's that for customer service and caring? We deal with vets all the time. We own horses, cattle, cats, & dogs. People are People. But when they are unprofessional from the get go, and you can tell the people that represent the vets do not care about the customer or animal, Then the owner of the vet clinic needs to know. I just need to talk to someone that cares. From someone that cares about people and animals:Jan Pattillo

A+ with no complaints. We live in Austin and couldn’t afford the surgery price locally so we had to reach out. Dr Mabry was recommended to us and we’re so happy with the process and results.

Janet, she makes this place!!!! She has all the info!!! And she remembers you, she is truly a gem!!!! The vets are very knowledgeable, kind, and endearing. If you want vets who care, go here. The prices are better than anywhere else!! The vet techs are truly concerned about your animal, and show such compassion when having to do procedures such as blood draws. One of my animals has had a skin issue for over 4 years. The other vets I had taken him to couldn't figure the issue out.

This is an amazing clinic that although my girl is not a regular patient they were able to fit her in their busy schedule. They were absolutely wonderful and helped get my girl back on her feet. I would absolutely recommend them to anybody.

They are always professional and kind. I've brought a total of 5 cats to them and everytime has been wonderful. Unfortunately, my first 2 visits consisted of me having to euthanize my senior cats because I had just moved there. They were patient and kind. They made me feel comfortable and allowed me to grieve. They've also seen my other cats and are very thorough. Dr. Clay neutered my cat last year and was so wonderful and caring.
