Leon River Mercantile is a great western store and a great place to go for all country western needs. It is a very family-owned store, much better than a big western conglomerate. The store is totally up to date with abundant brands and styles. It offers boots, including work boots and Lucchese gators, hats, pants, cool clothes, "Hey Dudes," belts, and purses. For the ladies, there is beautiful jewelry, Montana Silversmith jewelry, perfume, and great smelling candles. The size selections are not the best, but you can always find a great deal, with a clearance rack filled with good clothes. It is the best stop in Gatesville for work boot selection. The staff is always polite, very nice, helpful, and sweet, providing just the right amount of assistance.
Outstanding doesn't start to describe the courtesy and promptness of wonderful ladies there. Above the best.

My boy's Lucchese gators I bought back at Leon River Merchantile in 2017. Was preparing to deploy at the time. Leon River a great western store! Hope to get back there some day from KC . . .
