This is the nicest Academy I've been to. Very clean and organized and stocked with unique items that aren't in every store. The Star of the show is Melissa, the door greater. Very knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly. I will be back!

Great customer service & very friendly. I sometimes forget all the great things the Academy has to sports wear,tennis shoes, and great game selection when you have company, etc

I will never step foot in the store again. I have been here twice in the past week and every time there is an issue with the customer service. I needed to return a pair of mud boots that started falling apart after less than a month of use, and the team lead would not allow the return. Even with them being Magellan brand. The second time I went into the store I called ahead about a 308 caliber boresight, was told that there were seven or eight in stock, and let them know I would be there in 10 minutes to pick one up. When I arrived at the store, the only boresight option they had was a 6.5 Creedmoor, and with outside research that is not OK to use. The salesman behind the counter was insisting that I purchase that one even after showing him various articles that show in compatibility. And none of the men behind the counter claimed to answer my call. When I got up to the counter to check out, the lady started laughing at the issues that I was having, and instead of being respectful, or even helpful her goal was to get me out of the store as quick as possible.

Your bathroom is disgusting. Both urinals were broken and had garbage bags covering them. The toilets were dirty and the locks on the doors were broken. There were puddles of urine on the floor of both stalls. No one is expecting a luxury spa, but that place is just embarrassing.

Always a good place but weird experiencethus tme. Got my shoes and one did not work once I got them home. Went back to return or exchange. Found another pair to exchange for the same price. At the register I had to pay $12 to get the shoes. I had a coupon on my original purchase. Now I have to pay the difference even though the original price of the shoes were the same. Not to happy. Nice place, friendly folks and weird return policies.

Was not happy trying to purchase firearms. Had to fill out the form on a glitching iPad that kept changing my answers. Told me I can't buy a firearm for 30 days. Went to a local shop and had no issues.

This female Cashier I got tonight needs more training ,made me wait more than 20 min to get a price check on an item and refused to accept help from team mates arguing in front of me with coworker ,never went to get a similar product for price check I had to go myself !!! What is going on with the cashiers! They are not team players .So tired after a long day and still have to put up with pathetic behavior at stores .

We were back to school show shopping and it looked like they were out of my daughter's "dream shoe". James took extra time to look in the back and found the only pair left and was so friendly and cheerful. Made her day. The store was well-stocked and very clean, especially the shoe section. selected some items for purchase and when I got to checkout the price was considerably more. I walked an associate over to show them how the item was priced in the shelf. he said that the item was missed priced and it was an honest mistake. i pointed out that there are 6 price tags on the shelf and asked are they all wrong. He said someone didn't do a good job and that he was sorry for the inconvenience. I asked to speak to manager and the manager refused to come out. I heard him tell the associate to just say he's sorry but he he can't do anything and there's no need for him to come out and tell me. I spoke to another manager and she told me that I should be comparing the skus listed on the price to the item. she also suggested that I use the scanners located around the store to verify pricing before heading to the register. I responded by asking if I need to do this all the time? she said it would be the best way to make sure I'm not inconvenienced at the register. Isn't that also an inconvenience? no reply. so my assumption is too assume that you have a store filled with untrained and incompetent employees and that I need to pick up the slack because the Academy management didn't seem to care. she offered to give me a small percentage off, but that's all she was going to do. Horrible customer service.

Good deals on shoes, shorts, shirts and socks. It's my go to for hot weather clothing. They usually have a pretty good selection of ammunition as well.Went in today, July 14th, and Janice checked me out. She was courteous and fixed price issues where the scan was higher than the price on the tags. Amazing employee.

The Georgetown TX store is far better than Round Rock or Austin at i35. Thanks latter being a strong second place. The inventory is better but still lacks stock and empty shelves continue to lose the company money.

The staff at the gun counter are very friendly & knowledgeable. I was stuck between the purchase of 5 different guns. They were able to help me narrow down to 2 guns, which I was able to purchase.

We found this Academy to be a lot bigger than our North Texas stores. Larger store does not necessarily mean larger selection. The dressing room was a mess with a lot of clothes left behind. Most important point is that Hubby and I found what we wanted.
