Hotel is a bit funky to get to but not a big deal after the first time. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms...well. The first room, the toilet wouldn't flush. They quickly moved us to a different room. The room was ok. Slight smell of old popcorn. The furnishing need to be tossed and replaced. The chairs well worn. But worst was the bed. The box spring was super noisy due to it being old and starting to collapse. Spent the night trying not to move and wake up my wife. :) On the positive side, they are supposed to be doing a remodel of the rooms this year.

Clean rooms and has everything that u need. It's like a home away from home. Full size fridge with an ice maker, dishwasher, sink, and a 2-burner stove top. The room has cookware and dinnerware as well along with a coffee pot too. They have Dove hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and a real hairdryer as well in the bathroom. No complaints at all.

Over all it was a good experience. It was late and busy when we booked the room. I'm actually surprised we were able to get one. Our room was clean and the AC worked too good lol. I'm never cold and it was. There were two things that i didn't like.. the TV didn't work and the doors to get inside were all locked up or broken. There was no parking except for around the sides and no where near the front door. It was late and dark and not safe for a woman or kids having to walk around the building to the main entrance to get in because all other entrances (that you need your key to open) were either broken or just locked.

No ac, and it's 100+ degrees outside. Not what i expected. There's nothing like sweating in your sleep. Thanks for saying " there is nothing we can do for you" I'll never stay here again.

Going to be “Middle of the Road” with this review. Receptionist was welcoming and helpful. There is a need for updating this hotel as it is showing its age. Furniture in room was well worn and not comfortable to sit in. Curtains were not closing properly and had to be manipulated in a fashion to keep passersby from peeking into room. Some walls in room had areas of markings and stains that have been there awhile. The gym shares the same room with laundry center which makes it awkward to work out and snack room had fruit that should have been tossed.

Hotel just has a dirty unkept feel and look. Our room had stains on the carpet and the bathroom was grimy. Stairwells look like they haven’t been vacuumed in months.Little cleaning and this could be a nicer place

I stayed there this week may 22-25 2023 I have bed bug bites all over my arms and legs. The hotel looks like trash the rooms stink of mildew from water leaking into them from air conditioning units. This is a super trashy motel. Worse than a motel 6!!

Booked for two nights (unrefundable) and left after one night and went elsewhere. Nice lobby & exterior but room not so much. Also when we booked we booked it with a dog for $20 extra per night. When we arrived they added an additional non_refundable $75 for the dog. Clerk just shrugged. When we checked out after one night the clerk couldn't have cared less. Over $500 for one night for bugs, one random tv channel and a very worn room. Now I know why they only book non_refundable. Very crooked booking. Never ever again with Candlewood.

I had the opportunity to come to the Candlewood Suites Georgetown at the time the ATX region was experiencing inclement weather “ICEStorm 2023” Rating this hotel from the surface, a Solid 8 out 10 which is decent standards in my book. The hotel Staff at front Desk a Solid 9. So yes on a Great place to lay your head down and recharge your body!

I don't recommend this place. I came for a work event so I didn't even pay for the hotel, my employer did, and I feel bad that they put money into this place. Like others have commented -- awful mold smell, the room is disgusting -- no way it was cleaned, there was stuff on the floor, hair in the shower, I didn't even want to walk in socks in the room. Water is awful in the room. No ice machine and there's a small store in the main lobby if you want to be overcharged for simple things like a bottle of water for $3. They allow animals here which may be great for people for have animals but for those who are allergic, like me, it is not good because I had allergic reactions in the room further proving they didn't clean and that there is still animal hair or something lingering in rooms. I've heard dogs barking in the hallways at all hours of the night. I did not sleep good while staying here. Didn't feel safe or at ease. I was going to say the customer service at night was good because I called down to say I didn't have towels in the room and they were quick to bring some up to me... but after talking with my coworker, apparently they put her in a room without a TV that worked and so they said they would move her to another room which they did.. but then the door wouldn't shut all the way or lock so she felt unsafe and asked for a different room (obviously) and they were extremely rude to her, not accommodating or professional. Do yourself a favor and save your money. Or pay a little extra to stay somewhere with better reviews. This place is not good and I can almost guarantee you won't be satisfied with your stay.

The front desk employee is friendly, and there are no complaints about that. The rooms are a bit run down. i can pass that, but when i go into the bathroom, the first thing i see is hair and not sure if water or bodily fluids are on the ground, super tired if not i would ask for an other room.

No ice, no breakfast, no comfortable chair, no TV remote, TV buttons won't work. I paid too much to not have these basics. However, it was clean and the bathroom looked new.

Trouble at the very beginning of the stay when they tried to process / run my employer travel credit card in a way no other hotel I’ve stayed at ever has. Declined three times in a row. Called the credit card customer service and they stated card was fine and couldn’t even see this hotel trying to charge it. Card has worked everywhere I’ve used it except THIS hotel because they didn’t know how to charge it. The Holiday Inn midtown in Austin charged my travel card just fine at the beginning of this month. The Best Western Post Oak Inn in Burnet charged this card just fine last week. When I bought dinner tonight card worked just fine. Only the employees at this one hotel can’t figure it out. Now the expense of this stay is tying up the credit on one of my personal credit cards until I get reimbursed. Not thrilled. Will definitely be staying somewhere else next time I have to be in this area. Every meal / purchase I’ve made with my work travel card has worked - except here. And mid-shower tonight, 11/02, the hot water stopped working so now we go down to one star. This morning the cable in my room didn’t work. Would give zero stars at this point if possible. Update - evening of 11/03 - hot water ran out / turned cold during my shower again tonight. Can’t call the front desk because neither of the two phones in the room work. Would give -1 star if possible. Seriously you’re better off sleeping in your car and using truck stop showers before staying here. Worst hotel stay ever.
