I was with First Texas Bank for 27 years, until I moved out of state. I've had a dozen loans and hundreds of interactions with first the Round Rock, then the downtown Georgetown location. Kelly Long is the VP in Georgetown now and she has gone out of her way many times to make sure my needs were met...always with a smile.I know the people there by name and they know me. The service I've received is so wonderfully personal that one of my key searches in Colorado now is for a new local bank that can provide a similar level of service.I know some larger companies may benefit by going with a big bank chain, but I can't imagine any individual who would choose them over the personal service that is the absolute norm for First Texas Bank.I will miss y'all!

After being with this bank for many years, I have asked repeatedly for someone from the loan department about a business loan. Wish to build an RV part. No one from the bank every took the time to return my calls. In all fairness, the banks of today don't really have money to loan.They just take your cash (20 percent) and create "new" money through fractional-reserve banking.But still, it would be nice thave them respect their customers.

I have banked at FTB for decades. I moved to another county, but kept an account. I had a situation to where I needed to engage this account after a few years. I was so impressed to see that FTB has the same downhome Texas work ethic as when I left, and this is why I will always stay a FTB customer and bank here. The team at FTB: Jennie , Sherry, Cheryl and especially Lori, provided outstanding service and went above and beyond to show they truly are the best financial institution in Georgetown. Thank you FTB for your outstanding service to our community!

I have banked at First Texas Bank for over 50 years and I LOVE the small-town bank feel! People are friendly and personable, they recognize me and make me feel welcome, and that they are glad to assist me. I don't know why anyone would choose a large chain bank over a local one!

It's a bank. The folks are friendly. The service is prompt. We don't pay a lot in bank fees.

FTB has been reliable and I have had no problems with them. I find the newly designed website very user friendly for internet banking. One one cumbersome thing--no way to edit a payee. You have to delete payee and re-enter.

As a customer for several years, I have always been pleased with the service I received and was quick to recommend First Texas. Sadly, I don't think I can recommend them any longer. They recently changed their Online banking and forced many customers (who use PC for their banking) to use the new program. It is cumbersome, confusing and time consuming. There was no asking for feedback or comments just, "Here it is. If you don't like it that's tough" To see the info I used to get on 1 page now takes several steps to reach. I was told it was so mobile app customers could use it. It was a disservice to those of us who don't use mobile apps but use only our pc for our banking. Very disappointed in First Texas.

I have banked at credit unions and national banks and thought a small town bank would be a great step to try something more personal. Boy was I wrong! From my first meeting and being mislead about the transfer money steps which caused me to pay my first months rent late all the way to today, 5 months later and I feel completely insulted by Gilbert (manager of some sort). He was very rude and passive aggressive with his "customer service" I have never felt so horrible after speaking to a banker. He made me feel everything was my fault and it wasn't. The online banking app has many flaws ans when you bring it to their attention, they make you feel stupid and as if you couldnt be right in any way. I know what I saw on my end of my mobile banking app and instead of helping me figure out why or how the info was missing, he told me that everyone in the office checked their apps and arent having any issues with it (which he left me on hold for over 10 minutes to do so). I let him know of my concerns with his lack of good customer service and he basically laughed in my face and said thanks have a good day and hung up. I will be switching banks asap! I will not use a bank that not only has poor technology in their online banking but I REFUSE to give my business to companies who treat people like that!
