Garey House, located in Georgetown, Texas, offers a beautiful setting that combines Texas hospitality with Tuscan elegance. Situated within Garey Park, a large 525-acre public park along the San Gabriel River, the venue features a spacious patio, landscaped grounds, and a lush event lawn overlooking a pond and waterfall, all framed by stunning heritage oak trees. With a maximum capacity of 200 people, Garey House is a popular choice for weddings and events. The venue provides multiple ceremony and reception spaces, making it a versatile location for celebrations. Guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking on well-maintained trails that are wide and pleasant, with a border along the river. The park is a hidden gem in Georgetown, praised for its pristine condition and relaxing atmosphere, with affordable entry fees for residents and non-residents. Garey House is especially noted for its suitability for a glamorous, upscale wedding with a simple yet elegant decor. Many appreciate that the venue’s natural beauty reduces the need for extensive decorations. The staff is helpful, responsive, and accommodating, working closely with clients to set up everything according to their wishes. However, it is important to note that Garey House is not an all-inclusive venue; it does not provide catering or bartending services, nor does it serve as a primary wedding coordinator. Instead, it offers tables, chairs, and a beautiful setting, leaving the rest to the clients and their chosen vendors. Planning a wedding here requires some effort, especially with approved caterers, but it offers the flexibility to create a personalized event. Overall, Garey House is ideal for those who enjoy a DIY approach and want a gorgeous, park-like setting that feels both intimate and upscale.

Their back lawn is perfect for out door receptions under the moonlight. The architecture is so pretty from every angle and pretty much any time... read full comment
