WAY overpriced. Most expensive nursery in Austin area. Plus I get attacked by mosquitos everytime I'm there...they need to spray for them!

Amazing selection of beautiful and healthy plants. Pricing is higher than average, but the quality and size of the plants are too. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Thank you for walking me through it all!

Once you find this nursery (no signage on Williams Drive) you'll also find a fairly well stocked assortment of plants and other landscape accessories. It's a pleasant place to walk around in search of what you need. What you won't find are employees walking around and asking if you need assistance. I have visited 3X's and purchased a plant once but on every visit it's like a ghost town. When you do see an employee it's almost as though they go out of their way not to acknowledge you. It's really a shame to have such a great location and a nice layout but almost zero service and high prices. I'll take the extra half hour to go to Round Rock or Cantu Nursery where there's friendly help and more reasonable prices to boot.

These people are unbelievable. I get it that you can't cut grass if you have rain - out of your and my control. After a week, I called them back to see if they have heard anything from the grass farm and was told that they didn't know when grass can be cut this week. More than likely I may get my 6 pallets of grass at the end of the week. Fast forward to the next morning, as I was leaving through my gate, I find 6 pallets of grass sitting out front next to the street. I was never told that they were deliverying that night or early next morning. This is inferiating on a couple of levels, 1) they left on the side of a road in front of my house on a busy street. Anyone can stop, take what they need/want and go. 2) I had planned for my guys to come this weekend to work on it thinking that is when I'll get it. Now, I have to not only figure out how to get it back behind my property but see if my workers can come before the weekend to put it down. Where is the planning people? When I called, the guy that answered did not see anything wrong with it. I asked if they are willing to take ownership if some of the grass is taken while I'm at work today, tomorrow or Friday. He just shrugged it off. Is this how we do business now?
Pissed off customer.

I live in Pflugerville, I found my preferred nitro-phos fertilizer here, a product elusive at my usual Georgetown nursery I go to. The drive, though lengthy, was enjoyable despite potential traffic. Once you arrive, a spacious gravel parking area awaits, with carts conveniently placed to the left as you approach the building. The nursery offers a diverse selection of plants and decorations for both indoor and outdoor needs. Staff members are attentive when asked for assistance but generally let customers explore independently. The shopping area is notably spacious compared to typical nurseries, providing a comfortable browsing experience. An added bonus is the 5% military discount, available upon request with proof of military service through a valid veteran, military, or Texas driver's license indicating veteran status. This discount for veterans or active-duty personnel is a commendable practice in my opinion.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am extremely forgiving, and I gave this nursery, the most benefit of the doubt. I also never do these reviews, but I thought it necessary here. Thats how much this doesn’t sit with me. I really and truly wanted to like them as unfortunately, I live about five minutes away, and any other nursery is a much farther drive so I will probably stop in now and then for soil and small plants, but only out of necessity. Basically, last spring I really wanted to have help building my garden and had someone come out for a consultation on irrigation change up and possibly sod removal in some areas for garden beds and walkway. I was told that a quote would be worked up and I would hear back in a week. I never heard back. I called 3 or 4 times spaced out in between. Months later in the fall, I even went in and bought some plants and talked to a couple of employees there. I had racked my brain trying to figure out if it was something I had done or said. The only thing I could think of was the consultation was $50 and I had cash prepared in the kitchen, but I have three young kids and I was a bit frazzled when he arrived. My husband had just arrived at the same time for me to pass off the kids, and I was still running on mom brain trying to get across the things that were important to me in the garden. At the end of our conversation, he left quickly out the side gate, and as soon as I walked back in telling my husband what was discussed, we quickly realized the $50 on the counter. My husband ran out front to give it to him but he had already driven away. The nursery was already closed at this time, so I couldn’t call, and I didn’t think it was much of a problem as I had planned to go forward with them anyway, and give them the money next time I saw them or included in the quote, whatever was easier. (I’ve spent lots of money with them in plants and pots already, I’m honest). I mentioned this when I stopped in this past fall, that I was really sorry if it was the $50 that was the issue, and wasn’t intentional, but that I was always going to pay it. I had contacted them many times and was always told they would get with the person I met with, and he would call me back, but he never did. The employee I spoke with, said the exact same thing. She double checked my information, and said he was out, but that he would get back with me soon. She assured me it wasn’t the consult fee, and not to worry about it. It is now the middle of January, and I have yet to hear from them. Quite honestly, I was way too nice, and like I said was extremely forgiving. I never became angry with them or yelled, I was very polite. I was hurt and disappointed for so long. And truly, I am not the one in the wrong here. I shouldn’t have had to stress so hard, thinking about what it might have been that upset them if they are upset at all, and if it was the money, which I had always planned to give them, I think it very unprofessional to just ghost me instead of asking for the payment. It was an accident in the first place that I forgot about the cash. And it may not be about that, but who knows. I ah e nothing else to go on. Either way it’s extremely unprofessional. Either they are worried about the 50, when the job surely would have garnished in the 1000s I’m assuming. Or they just didn’t want to do the job so ignored it. Anyway, I waited a long time to call them out, but I thought I’d save someone else the stress. And it looks like from their other reviews that their service and results in jobs they actually responded to have left others wanting, as well. Hill Country Water Gardens and Nursery is a fantastic nursery for those in the Georgetown area that don’t mind the drive to Cedar Park. You won’t be disappointed.

Harold is a rockstar. He is so professional and knows his stuff. We hired Hillside for a large landscaping project which he oversaw and did amazing. Then we had a pipe break at our back flow. He came out in less than 2 hours and restored water to our house. I trust the work they do and the advice they give. Highly recommend.

Staff is knowledgeable and they are helpful and kind.I think the comments from another customer about rudeness were due to a language barrier — so to me, the person who wrote the bad review seems incorrect in their assessment of Hillside. Also, their plant selections are exquisite, thriving and healthy ..
